1.7 Ec on a hanna is 850ppm

Going on the greenhouse company's grow guide on Youtube for WW they say never go about 1.7 to 1.8 EC.

I'll be changing my res Wednesday and hopefully it will manage the week with out any adjustments. I'd hate to come back after a week and see my plants dead.

nice... my two others still haven't shown yet. I did happen to topp the one that showed already. I wonder because of the stunt in height and redistribution of hormones that it forced to sex a few days earlier? Or is it because It is twice the size as the other two? I thought it was gonna be a male, as it was a bit bigger and growing faster.....

I was a thinking you should watch craigslist in your area. Maybe you can find a cheap HPS like i did for 75 bucks.... But the ballast does get warm.... and it randomly flicked off today. i turned it off and back on and wala it worked again. idk?>?:eyesmoke:

I've thought of getting a HPS, but for this grow I'm going to stick with what I have just to see what CFL's can do.

Day 16 into Flowering.

Both my White widows are 100% showing females. Both have pistils dotted about the plants.
They are starting to grow quickly now. Nearly an inch a day.

Ph still between 5.5 and 6. EC at 1.7
My smaller plants (bag seed x 3 ) Are growing nicely too. No sign of nutrient damage (two are now in the ebb and flood for 3 days EC 1.7 with the WW), the 3rd I'm just watering for now. Will have to try and fit it into the flood tray some how before Wednesday night. Before I go to Lanzarote. (prob spelt wrong!)

Here are pics of my WW taken 10 mins ago.

The plant on the right the one I fimed is bushy as feck. I'll wait till I get back from my holiday/vacation to see if I'll prune or not.

Lookin' great man. Nice, rich and dark leaf color... and shine. Are you using a foliar spray ?

I spray a few times a day with PH 6 water with a tiny amount of grow/boost and flower nutrients all mixed up. No higher than 1.0 in the EC.
I flood the tray 3 times a day.

I must change my Res tonight.

Right as you know. Tomorrow I'll be packing my bags ready for my flight to Lanzarotte Thursday.

So the only way I could fit all my plants into the flood tray, was to fill it with clay pellets and transfer all my plants out of the pots. And sick them in the tray instead.

I hope to fuck I didn't wreck things. Should be ok. I changed the Res with fresh water. Ph'd to 5/6. EC 1.7-1.8.

Had a check to see if it flooded and drained ok. Check!!! lol

I added piece of aquarium filter into the inlet and drain pipes to stop them blocking.

Hopefully next week when I get back , mty place won't be flooded, plants will be fine, and the house hasn't been burnt down or robbed. lol Serious.

Here are some pics. The last for the next 8 days. See you all soon.
Although I might check in to you guys in an internet cafe by the beach. lol

Get some great Moroccan hash over in Lanzo. None of the shite soapbar you get here anyway.

Quick update. I wasn't feeling good going to bed last night. I got up today and my plants had fallen over. The clay pellets weren't washed enough and the clay dust/dirt clogged up my inlet hose. Lucky I found it today and not a weeks time. So I cleaned out the tubing. Took all the pellets out and re-potted all my plants. Everything back to normal.

wow u dork.... im sure that wasn't a fun experience. I should of warned you to strain it out well. Oh well, way to go on catching that. Hope you have a safe trip. And Hope You don't burn your place down.... hurry back. for you know. your babies will miss your guidance....:bigjoint:

Glad you got them back up man,... thought I'd stop by and check out the project.

I just stopped my DiamondNectar foliar spray, things were getting too droopy... Then again, humidity is out of this world right now because there's a tropical storm!!

Just back from my week away late last night. And my god I can't believe whats happened to my plants.
They are double the size they where last week. Huge in fact, at least 20-30 inches wide and about the same in height. Both plants have many flowers growing and white hairs everywhere. There is so much foliage I'll have to do a bit of trimming.

Due to my lack of fresh air for the past week. My room with my grow room in feels like a jungle. Humid is an understatement. The floors are damp, my desk with my pc is wet. Walls have a damp feel. Luck I was only away for a week. All aired out now. I guess I better get a few pics taken. Be back with pics soon.

Yo dude, how was the trip? tell me about Highlights? Alright your plants have done well. Looking good so far... And I to have way to many branches coming up from the bottom... I could probably make 20-30 clones out of the 6" high 3-5 node cuttings, growing from the middle of plant.... I think I really should thin this baby out? or not? I might be to far along now to cut for clones.... Maybe just to redirect the hormones to the main Stalks....? Stalks are getting woody on the 6" branches.... Or should I just let it go and gather all those popcorn size lookin buds up when we harvest?

Spliff mate.. Holiday was grand. It wasn't as wild as I might of wanted. Basically due to the fact I was with my girlfriend and family.
Strangely enough I didn't try getting any smoke while there. Just loads of Vodka and Bud, and cider. lol And damn cigarettes.

The weather wasn't too bad in the late 70's most days. Not that I saw too much of that with the 5am drinking sessions.

Was just on your journal . I thought my plants looked great until I saw how far yours have come. Excellent my friend...excellent.

Been a few days now since my last update. Too busy with work and the Easter (drinking) to update.

I'm not too happy at the moment. I don't think my plants are flowering well at all. Probably due to CFL's and not HPS.

Anyway I decided to go and get a new red 200watt Envirolite. I have that hanging in the reflector and have my smaller CFL's at the sides of the plants. I've 400watt of CFL's in total at the moment.
I'm about 35 days into flower and my buds are small, but there is crystals starting to form on the leaves.
I think Flowering with CFL's will take weeks longer than 8-10. More 12-14 I'd say.



My EC is at 2.10 now. My 12/12 seeds aren't showing sex yet.
In my veg room the plants are doing fine. A little bit of burn on a couple of plants but nothing major. (Spilled res water on them)

I'll post pics in a few mins. Just dig out the Camera.

whoa,, looks like your babies have been stressed from transplanting and changing up medium? Yeah the HPS is violent bright and takes up square footage.also induces flowering faster then CFL's...It is doing wonders in my little closet space. and I only payed $100 bucks for it on craigslist..... The CFL's are really hard to direct all the lumens or light in the direction of the babies. I like cfl's during vegging, but you would have to make sure that you get the right red color spectrum or kelvin scale. I think the red cfl's that represent the sun's daylight, for flowering stages... it's 2700k...not the blue or white that is 6500 k
