As I said I have been a busy beaver over the last day or so. I finally got around to getting in there with my camera. Now it is time to get you guys filled in on what has been going on. First I started by giving the area a thorough cleaning. Then I layed down a painters plastic drop sheet ($4.00 and home hardware). Next I needed to figure out a way to split the room into 2 different photoperiods. After a little bit of thinking and a lucky find I figured it out. I put a nail in the wall on either side of the room and then hung the piece of pipe I found from the nails. The next step was to go back to my old friends garbage bags and duct tape. I made a curtain by taping several garbage bags together and then sealed it to the wall on one side and left it loose on the other side so I could slide it out of my way when I needed in. Light problems solved.
Now for the fun part. I took my six train wrecks out of the veg box to be transfered into their new flowering home. I filled up the 5 gallon grow bags with some BX mix that I purchased at home depot. A good sterile mix of peat,pearlite, and vermiculite. I added some extra pearlite to each pot as I was filling if for increased drainage. After thoroughly soaking all of the grow mediums with 6.7pH water it was time to transplant the Trains. When I pulled the first one out of the pot I was absolutely shocked at how much root was wrapped around the inside of the pot. They should have been transplanted weeks ago. After popping them into the hole and backfilling around them I proceeded to water them in. After letting them set for a little bit I also added 1L of 1/2 strength nutrient solution to each grow bag. Then I arranged them under the HPS and placed an oscillating blowing onto the plants.
The clones are all looking very healthy. Roughly 8 or 9 of the 11 clones are showing new growth forming out the top which I assume means they are starting to take root. I figure within a couple more days I should be able to see the roots sneaking out the bottom of the rockwool. At which time they will go into the 8" pots either to flower, so I can determine sex, or to veg depending on which clone it is.
Now I know that was an awful lot to read. As a reward I will now post lots of pictures of the TWs in the new 5gal bags.

Man its pretty awesome we went into flower the same time!
I'm jealous you got your hps! i need one badddd.
But all things come in time i guess, need a bit more knowledge and money for a much better op.
I'll continue watching, as always. Looking great as well my friend!

I decided dropping the money on the HPS would be worth it. I will get a substantial increase in bud because of it. Flowering race AcidBurn?
If I could hit anything 0.63g/w or greater I would be stoked. I think 0.5g/w is pretty realistic for a first effort. I will be very patient with these plants. I am not cropping them until I am 100% sure they are ready. I waited this long to flower. Why not be a patient flowerer as well right?

I've got an interesting musing to throw at you guys. Lemme know if you think I'm on the right track here. While smoking pot the only thing we are doing wrong is breaking the law. Could it not then be said that the law is wrong?

Indeed. The law is wrong about a lot of things. I'm not sure who, but it has been said 'No law that is wrong can ever be enforced, because the citizens as a whole will always constitute a bigger fighting force than anything the government could ever hope to muster'. So, I say, Grab your bong, flick your bic, inhale deeply, an wave a stiff middle finger at anyone who thinks they can make us do otherwise.

i disagree ive germed mine in a shot glass in my airin cuboard jus top it up wiv water the rad and its open all ready and i even cracked the seed partly in half when i tried to chipp to make it sprout faster :

I'm not saying that the paper towel method is perfect. All I was trying to say was that my personal results favoured the paper towel method. In the end all of my seeds but one germinated and they all came through the soil so really both methods worked fine.

good luck on your flower started 4x trainwreck myself on the 10th also you should get 4-6 oz dry from alaskan ice after 63 days flowering

been a while since i came to see how these were doing. They look really nice, and yes patient is the way to be with them don't rush it.
But good grow man i look forward to seeing the yeild from these. ^_^
And as always the laws are wrong it is unconstitutional to ban any substance, but its the way the goverment works. I mean more than half the founding father smoked weed, even george washington was a pot farmer.

As I was transplanting the train wrecks last week it became very clear to me that all of the plants would soon be doomed by their small pots if I did not take action. The root ball had completely outgrown the pot and something needed to be done. Being a man of action I decided to make the arbitrary decision to flip all the remaining healthy plants over to the 5gal bags and begin full flowering. As a result I now have 11 plants in total that are under the HPS in a 12/12 photoperiod. I have a total of 6 Trains, 3 AKs, and 2 Ice that made it into flowering. In the days between my last post and today's post 2 of the Ice decided to shower their sex. Unfortunately I have 2 definite males. The good thing about the timing of these males is that I didn't have to waste my time/effort/resources transplanting them. So in a sense these 2 males were a blessing in disguise. I know that males tend to show their sex before females do. Based on this I have come to an interesting assumption. If all the plants were started at the same time, grown under the same conditions, and for the same amount of time, which they were, then one would assume that all the males would show themselves at relatively the same time. These 2 males started showing sex at almost exactly the same time while the other plants remain undetermined. This leads me to believe that I may have a crop of only females remaining. Now, obviously that is a dangerous blind assumption to make and I will continue to closely monitor the progress so that I can capture any other males who may appear. I am very optimistic though that the remainder will end up being female. Wednesday night I will be doing another mass cloning before the plants get seriously into flower and are no longer able to give viable cuttings.
Now I have a couple questions for you guys/gals. What should I do with the males? Am I able to clone a plant that has already been in a flowering photoperiod for a week? What should I do about yellowing leaves on my current clones? and How long, roughly, does it take for a cutting to take root under high humidity and decent light exposure?
Now as always PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES! The small ones are the AKs and Ices that were just transplanted. The train wrecks seem to have grown exponentially since getting into the bigger bag under the stronger light.
The first picture was my attempt to get a shot of the males so you guys could confirm. I have no option to zoom on my laptop camera so it is hard to get a good clear picture. They have developed a dense mass tiny little balls forming at the top internodes. As far as I know these clusters of "balls" are the male pollen sacs. A female would have only one ball with the white hairs protruding out instead of the ball cluster, I believe.

Chuck the males, yes you can clone a plant after a week of flowering, not sure about the yellowing clones and about 2 weeks roughly for clones to root
