You grow your own mushrooms?
This is a new one for me, where I'm from (Ireland) the little beauty's grow pretty much everywhere.
Anyway, can't answer your question, i've never wondered about how much psilocybin was in each cap, if they ain't working for your just throw another 10 down in mouth and wait for the Light Show.

there aren't any psilocybin mushrooms that grow wild here/ i wouldn't want to get the wrong ones.
The secret to potent mushrooms is in their age when picked. It has been scientifically proven that the small immature specimens are significantly more potent than the larger mature specimens. Over half of the small primordia that first form will abort (cease growing, convolute and deform). Pick these before their heads turn black. A pointed knife blade works well for removing these high potency primodia. These are among the most potent. The abortive mushrooms are also high potency. Harvest them when they are young and before their heads turn black. When the fruitbodies are normal, harvest them before the veil under the cap breaks. The mushrooms will be smaller and their heads will be roundish. It is important to note that the mushroom cakes pictured in this book are all mostly well matured. While these mature specimens are beautiful and perfect, they are not as potent as the diminutive specimens. The mature specimens are good for spore collecting and showcasing but are weak in psychedelic potency. - shroomery

I was under the impression that mushrooms, the ones we pick here at least, only lasted a day or so above ground before they receded or died or whatever they do. So their age is never an issue because of their ultra short life cycle.
I could be wrong about this, but as I said they grow everywhere here so getting them is never an issue, no issues with potency either

those are a week old from the time they pinned. I'll let you know how they are tomorrow night.

From my experience and research, mushrooms peak potency is before the veil is broken, the earlier you pick the stronger the potency will be per weight unit.

lookin good man, im actually doing 6 jars as we speak, in the cooker now.. popcorn going into monotub, doing 6 more tomorrow... 6 more the day after that til i use 36 cc's.. then im doing myself a grain to grain transfer.. you outta look into that. id pluck and flush it and round 2 it up! you got the idea, got any more jars going or just the one?
I have 8 that just started pinning 2 days ago so they should finish out the first flush before the weekend if they go as fast as that one. I think we are gonna do pop corn next...... We like how the bat cave thread shrooms are so we might try that. I only mist them and fan them my girlfriend is the one who does all the hard part. sexy bitch. i think those are BHT and we have golden teachers they are just taking off though.... not 100% because there was a lack of labeling.
2 or 3 contams gray mold and a green mold. she skipped the tin foil on top part when she put the spores in we think that's why it happened on this first run. she went and made the mycelium stuff to inoculate more and that works a lot quicker than the spores.

yeah its way quicker, i dont leave the foil when im knocking up my jars, believe it or not all i use is 3m tape, i used to use tyvek.. too many contammed jars.. so far none with the waterproof band aid tape lol... learned it from some old guy

I think I will stick to regular size fruit bodies thank you.
Bout to pick the biggest fruit I've ever grown in a few hours, should be dose worthy.(60g+ wet hopefully)

Mycrotopia.com is my favorite.
I don't know the best. I used two advertising specials and low prices. The only diff between the two was one package was delivered faster bc of the sellers location. Sporefarmer com, spores101 com. All syringes worked. At the time spores101 had a $25 special with an additional $5 coupon code. Pretty sweet deal.
I may have to disagree with you. My last ride was on pins and aborts. It was my usually dosage amount. And I ended up going further than on trips of the same dosage level, that were only 1 or 2 large fruits. Nice one on the 60+ gram fruit.
