monsoon trouble

Hey guys, i've been growing a sativa plant outdoors here in south india , it's 5 months old, 3 ft tall and still vegging. Thing is it's going to start raining like mad in about two weeks and go on like that for a few months, which means there's rarely going to be any sun, but more of heavy downpours and strong winds and im very sure my plant wont survive it. So i thought i'd move it inside, thing is i dont know anything about it and i'm afraid my plant may go into shock and die, could someone please tell me what to do? thank you..

Just remember that cannabis tends to root out more than down so make sure you give plenty of room around it when you dig. These are very hardy plants and can tolerate a lot of rain - but then there is bud rot to worry about. I wonder about top dressing with some perlite and fluffy potting soil / peat moss.

thanks potpimp, my plant has been in a big pot since it sprouted so no problem there and i know for sure, my plant wont survive outside in the downpour and it's not just the rain, we we wont have any sun for most of the season at all...so my question is how do i get it accommodated indoors? what are the factors involved and how many watts CFL will i have to buy, and what else do i have to keep in mind to make sure it grows well indoors until harvest or the rains are over? Thank you i really appreciate your help..

If its 3ft tall now you'll probably need somewhere in the region of 500w of cfl (actual watts not equivalent) to complete flowering.

You'll most likely want to use some form of training if you bring the plant indoors as cfl's have poor penetration power.

LST and maybe LOLLYPOPPING will be 2 techniques you may want to read up on.

Hey guys, it's my first outdoor grow, and first plant ever. Anyway, It's a little more than 5 months old, 3 feet and 8 inches tall, lean and bushy. It's been growing in a hot and humid climate all this time in south India, where the temperature varies between 33-35 (max) degrees celsius, with around 60-70% humidity in the air. Ok, now the thing is all that is changing in about 2-3 weeks with heavy downpours of continuous rains until monsoons are over which will be october , which means no sun or rarely any sun. So i want to know what i should do to keep it growing healthy and go on without any problems until harvest, until now i've faced problems like droopy leaves from transplant, droopy leaves from over watering, bug attack and a few other things and i know my plant isn't the strongest of it's kind but it's been through a lot already, so i want to make sure to see it all the way through. I'm worried because it'll be cloudy, overcast, wet and windy, will my plant grow ok?

My question is what steps should i take for a healthy grow until harvest?

What steps should i take to prepare the plant for the weather change?

Your advice would be really appreciated, since i'm totally lost, thank you.

Also, i don't want to move it INDOORS, cause most of my friends who did it last year killed the plant. i mean not unless it's my only option, thank you.

Can you build something to shelter it from the rain at least, something that can be put over it quickly and removed when there's no rain?
Thats where I would start.

Oh yea, that's something i'm already working on. My main concern is the lack of sunlight? That's what's got me worried..

Don't get me wrong it will possibly go into a state of shock for a limited time but with the size it is it should be fine.

hmmm, i just topped it today morning, i was thinking maybe i should build a make shift shelter and let it complete outside rather than move it inside...which do you think is better (safer) ?

Hard to say which is better/safer I'm an indoor guy so would always recommend indoors.

Oh allright , fair enough..i'm just worried that the shock might kill the plant, other than that there's no problem...i'm totally game to grow my plant indoors

If you can replicate a good environment indoors then there will be no issue.

Other than possible pest insects coming inside with the plant.
