Word! This batch should last me for quite awhile I would say. So as of now I have--> Nirvana Bubblelicious, Nirvana Wonder Woman, RP Purple Wreck, Dinafem Cheese, and the Kannabia Mikromachine plus 3 mystery strains to choose from. I think that's enough for me lulz....maybe one of these days when I choose to let something go I'll replace it, but I'm more than happy with my choices these days lulz

Lol yea something tells me ur just gonna eventually end up doing what i and alot of others did was just keep adding beans till u got a stockpile ur never gonna be able to get to lolz. Its all part of the addixtion oops i meant hobby haha.

Random thought of the day...I'm considering doing 1 BL, 1 PW, and the Cheese for next round. I know the BL and the Cheese should be some massive nugs, but I have 6 chances to find a PW pheno that I'm looking for. I did some research and I guess there's like 3 or 4. The one I'm hunting is the one with the Trainwreck buds as compared to the Urkel....would love a phuckin deep purple pheno with rock-solid buds....my Wonder Woman pheno has the fluffy buds as well. Alot of leafage mixed in with it, but by the time it's done it's so frosty and the high is top notch so I cant complain 'bout it. As far as I know I have all females so unless I land in that 20% range on hermz/males I should be good to start the new beans in a couple weeks or so. I've never done an autoflower so I'll save it for later down the road after I get used to my other strains. Should be an interesting year already and we just started....gawd I <3 that! If nyone has any experience with the above strains I'd love to hear your input. I'm just trying to get a round of all bigguns and I know for sure the BL's gonna be there...holla

BL is the Bubblelicious Never grown Cheese before and the only one going from clone is the BL. My Cheese and Purple Wreck are feminized seeds from The 'Tude. Thanks for stoppin by!

Some shots of my Bubblelicious from Round 1. I only recently found them again due to the hard drive failure not long ago. I hope the Cheese grows similar...then again I hear/read that the PW could be a slow grower. I guess that'd be a clue as to the dominating phenotype as well....anxious

THE VEGGIEZ



So the Veg box is cooking right along The Bubblelicious is starting to show her true self and has grown quite a bit. The 2 DK clones I took a week ago have yet to show roots, but they show no signs of dying either so I think the key with those is patience. I added a dash of Veg nutes to their mix, but here soon I'ma be making a bigger box. It just needs to be taller and that's bout it I think.




Here's the DK at Day 17ish of full bloom. I tried to get some good shots for you guys because she's starting to stack up, but the best angle I could get was one of her main outside limbs. The others are doing similar and I think the ones at the back of the tent are even bigger still. Once again I had to remove a half dozen fan leaves, but compared to any other round this is the FEWEST shade leaves I've ever removed. I've done ALOT of bending and tucking and the once-shaded ones are starting to catch up rather nicely. She got a brand new reservoir tonight complete with 100% strength Bloom nutes and a 10 minute bucket/root flushing. Kinda nice just pouring in the top and draining it out the bottom at the same time. Should be alot washing away w/e nutrient salts there were on the bucket floor Her trichome production is getting really heavy as well. I can't really brush or move her at all without catching a big whiff of skunk in my face lulz. Tomorrow the pieces for the new setup should start arriving. I'm expecting my bulb and my cord set tomorrow and the ballast should be here soon after. I have to get a few random hardware pieces for hanging and a new section of 6" ducting and then I should be good to start the construction to finish this round. May be tricky, but I'll get her done by golly!

I almost forgot....but not really....kind of a funny story. I finished the rez change on DK tonight and the wife was making spaghetti. I walk up the stairs and we eat and whatnot....then she turns to me and says "Baby...we need to start vegging the Purple Wreck soon....like...tonight even." I laughed at her for a good 3 seconds because I hadn't planned on starting to crack them for another couple weeks or so, BUT I guess I can make an exception lulz. I dont know how it works with ya'll, but if I didnt have my queen around to keep me straight then I'd be in the damn gutter somewhere. Awesome thing sharing a hobby such as this with the other half of whoever you are....now if you'll excuse me...I have 2 Purple Wreck fems and a Cheese fem to crack

So after 24 hours in a moist paper towel....my Purple Wreck and the Cheese beans both have taproots and I transferred them into presoaked rapid rooters. I made my own holes and whatnot and stuck them both in a small bowl with some water in it and stuck the bowl in the cupboard for the night. I figure I'll throw them in the box tomorrow afternoonish after the seeds have had a chance to settle a bit. I also got a new plastic tray and humidity dome which is the perfect size to sit inside my veg box for the clones and whatnot. I'm gonna have to figure out a bigger box, but I'm not worried about it in the slightest. I have a slew of that foamboard left and I could rig something up pretty quickly if it was an emergency, but not quite yet. I'll update in a couple

So I'm waitin for a friend to show up and burn one down with me before work. I've been browsing different methods for making/assembling DIY cooltubes and I think I found a decent one that I can modify a little and it should work pretty well I would think. Granted it's off another forum, but I found it's use invaluable...decent pics and pretty cheap. I already have most of the stuff to build it, just waitin on my ballast and my cord and I can go to work. Happy growing all! I'll prolly post more pics tonight or tomorrow

So here's an update for Day 19ish. The stretch has stopped for the most part I think. She had a little left in her once I removed some shade leaves. She does have alot of leafage mixed in with her bud sites as well....kinda like the Wonder Woman did. Kinda messes with the mind when you just see the one white flower on top, but you can't really see what's below it until you look lulz. Tried to get some shots of her flowers stacking up. She seems to be doing the same basic thing all over and the extra cflz I threw in really seem to help. She stinks more every day since the last rez change I do remember her being extremely frosty with somewhat fluffy buds and she's right on par in that department. I got my Hydrofarm All System Cord today Just waiting for my ballast to arrive in a couple days and I'll have a nice project to do on my weekend Really excited! No poppage on the PW or the Cheese yet. I should know somethin by next update

I got a Lumatek 600 Watt Digital Dimmable

I still need to read like 3 more posts I think but wanted to chime in now so I didn't forget anything. I vote for horizontal for the light. You should see if the bare bulb thing works. I always thought that was crazy in a small space, but my man Dezracer has a 1000w (if Im not mistaken) in a 40"x 40" tent and it's bare. And the plants love it. So I'd give it a shot and check the temps. And DL was correct in that whodatnation ran one of those cheap reflectors for his wrap around scrog section of his old grow space and it seems to get the job done (to say the least).

One thing about roots and clones that just happened to me. I think you've seen the little clones I got right now. I was having problems with one not developing roots. Some of the others (that are just as old) have pretty good roots poking out all over the place. Anyways, I was trying different stuff to get the roots to grow, and finally today without doing it on purpose I made the roots grow. It was rez change day for me and I took a long time to do it, and during that few hours (hahaha, I said I took a long time) the plants were just hanging out in my bathroom sink. No water or anything, just chillin in the air. Well when I finally went to put them back in the rez... the hold out had roots coming out the bottom of the netpot. So the lesson I learned is that you really need to let things get a bit dry sometimes to get roots to grow. Makes sense because if they have all the water they need, why grow roots?

I'm stoked your water temps are staying down so low. That's a blessing not to have to worry about.

EDIT: Man the trichs are coming along perfectly. Looks sticky as hell already!!! Like you I would be a wreck without my lady. In fact I turn into one when she leaves on business. And it is really really cool to share this hobby with them. My wife doesn't smoke, but she helps out alot with the growing. Always reminding me stuff and giving me ideas... and she helps trim sometimes too.

I'm stoked to see how everything happens. Especially with the new light addition. Thanks for inviting me over here. I didn't know what I was missing. And I'm the same way with my nutes as you are with yours... maybe that's where you got it, lol.

Hey Jig thanx for all the input and the grow <3 man. I shall definately try running the 600w bare bulb first and see how it goes. I would say it's gonna be too hot, but then again without the ballast heat the extra wattage may even out with the high temps. I mean the bulb is hot for sure, but not as hot as a ballast and a bulb in the same unit. Basically one big phuckin heater lulz. Either way though...I am so ready to get vert going!

I think I saw a Badass ballast on ebay or amazon one or the other. I've never had to buy/use a different brand so I wouldn't know anything about them hardware wise. I just felt more comfortable with the Lumatek having a 5 year warranty and all that jazz. I also see alot of fake poser-type brands as well so just be wary amigo What were you considering getting? Like wattage and everything?
