I went the first time to TCHF in Southfield as my main Doc is not up on the new program That was a 3 1/2hr drive for me which was not good. This time for my renewal I went to the U-MED center located right by where I live.No 2 month wait time either. Had me in to see Dr Prince in 3 days.Have to say he was more through than my reg Doc and spend almost a hr going over my treatments and condition.

My reg doc laughed at me when I brought it up, so I went elsewhere and have never seen her again.
So when it comes time for renewal do you have to go through the same process again or if I go to the same doc is it just a formality?

I went the first time to TCHF...
yeah southfield is about 2 hours from me...depending on traffic. the closest place to me is in Utica but they have a $200 fee and i'd rather get it for free from 1 of my dr's ya know. you mean you had to wait 2 months to see the doc in southfield?? thats a looong ass wait. good to hear ya found a good dr, they are hard to find. ive gone thru 4 gastroenterologists and 5 primary dr's. now both are young and into all the new stuff so thats great...except my gastro doesnt think weed would be beneficial for me...asshole lol..

My reg doc laughed at me....
thats pretty much what my previous primary doc did...so i said SEE YA. he was a shitty dr anyway, very old and set in his ways.

Well most of that wait was because it was the beginning of this wild ride and thcf was just getting to Michigan. I was one of thier first here in Mich and thank-god they stepped up to the plate to lead the way. Now, we're finally getting more docs to rethink things and ALOT are signing recs for thier older patients so maybe SOMEDAY we'll get the rest to swing. I brought up this discussion today at our club meeting and how we're try'in to change 75 years worth of bullshit. It's not been easy but I have to say we're making ground.
Year and a half ago I would have been arrested for gathering 150 folks for a marihuana meeting. NOW,,,,,,,,, I got everyone including grandma wanting to come. I can't get a location big enough to hold all the folks coming for christsakes. Hell even got the senior center contacting us on setting up meetings for retired folks. Now if that dont flip yer lid nothen will. This is GRANDMA telling me they want medical mj.PLEASE HELP US.............

GO FIGURE

I think they where the ones tellin me as a kid that this was the EVIL WEED.
Now they're ringing my club phone off the hook.

Yes indeed we can help and yes this REALLY works, NO it's not the evil weed, yes I know ya tried some back in 1949 and you liked it and it helped. Yes, it's not the evil weed,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Go figure,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Got to love it hehehehehehehe

:roll::roll::roll::roll::roll::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

Oh and yes you have to wait 20 days after ya send in yer stuff if they dont get ya the card,:mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:
hehehehehehehe

I can tell ya this,, The only ones that got there card in 30 days was the ones that turned them in in lansing at the mass turnin. I was one of those folks. EVEYONE else is getting they're cards up to 120days. Yes it will take ya 4 months to get the card. Join us in the protest in lansing on the 17th. We're protesting the wait time and about folks getting arrested while waiting for there cards. No you will not get your card in 30 days, period. 4 months is more like it............................................................
His story on his friend getting his in 30 days is like that corrvette for sale at 300 bucks......................... Yeah RIGHT...........................:-?
ok i will be there forsure. where in lansing do i go? what time? what to bring?

when you send in your app you send it "certified mail" and you get a reciept which you can then track at usps to confirm delivery. mine was delivered the next day, so im at 18 days and counting!!!!
dude no. please dont think your ok in 18 days or whtever. its 21 days not 20, 3 weeks=21 days and its 21 days after they cash your check/money order. the way you track it is by watching your bank account, when they cash your check ....start counting 21, 20, 19 etc...they do however cash it (if their going to accept your app) fast after they recieve it, they are allowed 15 days to do it.

Yep I did send a check for tracking also.My last patients card took 93 days so 70 days late. I wondering on my renewal and how long that will take lordy,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
On my last patients card the issue date was posted dated 2 months before so if yer not using yer mj right then your loosing money as ya pay for the year not 10 months. So, it seems they're using the 20 day rule also and counting that against your card issue date.

Now I'm confused. I've read and re-read the law and cant find where it says 20 days after chashing check. It just says 20 days "after being submitted", so i now guess "submitted" means after cashing the check.
Thanks for clearing that up, but since they cashed my check 2 days later it's not much difference ayway.
Anybody else have any insight on this?

so this new hydro store opened up in february and its about a 5-7 minute drive from me and i finally went and checked it out yesterday. the dude that runs the place is a caregiver and a patient and is 100% pro marijuana so that was cool, sat there and bullshitted with him for about 40 minutes about weed lol. he didnt have much in the store but he is a Sunlight Supply/National Garden Wholesale dealer so he can get whatever you need in a couple of days. he also said he makes compost tea for people. i dont have my dr reco yet but i mentioned i have crohns disease and he gave me the 10% patient discount anyway. i uploaded a picture of his business card.

here is a link to their website http://www.n-g-w.com/ngw/default.aspx

anyway, not sure if anyone is in this area but i figured i would let people know this place is medical marijuana friendly :weed:

hi everybody... I'm a michigander born and raised. I have a couple questions for those of you who have gone through the process of getting your card already about how severe of pain someone has to have in order for one of these pro-marijuana doctors to recommend you??? I have lower back pain and pain from IBS but i'm not sure if that's enough. But the reason I use pot is because it helps alot with the clinical depression and anxiety I've had since I was a teen that the pharmaceuticals don't do shit for, and even considered moving to california just because it qualifies for a card out there.
But anyways the number of a good doctor and or any advice would be great. peace

good to see ya here. sorry to hear about the ailments. you're good to go. call and make an appt with a mmj friendly dr or talk to your doctors about it :leaf:
thanks for the reply. I'm just a little doubtful because my pain issues are not "debilitating", which the MMJ law says your condition must be in order for a doctor to recommend your use of marijuana. But regardless i'm going to call one of these certification center places and see what they say and possibly make an appointment. :blsmoke:

just tell them the back pain keeps you up at night, when i told my ex-doctor that way back when he instantly offered me muscle relaxers. :hump:

it says chronic and severe pain. 1. by definition, chronic pain is any pain lasting more than 6 months and 2. only you can judge the severity of the pain, so if you think its severe then its severe. :joint:
