I would recomend reading the law and googleing "how to talk to my doc about MMJ" before you go in. It helps to know as much as you can. If you have a medical history of severe and chronic pain you should be good to go.

Time 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm
on the East Steps of the Capitol Building
in Lansing Michigan

This rally is to bring attention to the State’s delay’s in issuing Medical Marijuana Cards
And the resulting horrors the sick and dying are put through while waiting for their card.

Pre Rally meeting at Gone Wired Café on the day of the Rally 1:00 pm to 2:30 and after the rally from 5:30 to 6:30

There will be items available for sale form each organization.

There will also be drawings for Medical Marijuana items and 50/50 tickets.

There is to be NO medicating in or around Gone Wired Café

We need volunteers to help with the Rally

i will be here no doubt, i am one waiting on my card and i have been for over two months. its BS and people are being arrested for only having their paperwork. fuck the police i cant stand their shennanigans.

hey guys - Michigander here - I am a legal caretaker as of recently, I am trying to get the card for myself but I have no recent medical records, all thru my childhood treated for migraine headaches which do cause me severe nausea and vommiting...since age 16 (I am now 29) I have used mj to treat this and it works great and makes me life managble with little side effects.....Anyway I guees my question is am I going to need to create medical records by actually going to doctor for this so that my records are recent or will some mmj doc aprove me so I don't have to waste time and money going to the doctor to create recent medical records of my migraines/nausea/vomiting....I have no insurance and treatment for this would cost a lot with all the stupid cat scans these guys try to do just to verify it is only a migraine I spent my whole childhoold going thru this.

No way around it sad to say. You'll have to have recent doc notes to show your condition.

thats not true. my records were from 20 years ago and i couldnt get them anymore. i went in without any records and got the rec. you just need to find the right doc. my doc no longer practices so i cannot give you a number.

first time that I've heard of this do they exist in michigan and if so how do they work?

i think the point is if you dont have recent records you will have to establish a new relationship with the doc so he can confrim it by creating a med history with him/her.

As Rzza said you just need a good doc. What area are you in?

reeally what im saying is there are docs that simply line up mmj users all day everyday and for $200 they will give you a rec. all you do is say your have chronic pain. these docs are around you have to do some research. start calling people from craigslist. type in marijuana under the for sal/wanted ssection. anyone, call compassion clubs caregivers, whomever posts their number. tell them what you said in your post.

they work like this....you pay a 10 or 15 dollar yearly membership fees and you can now go in and purchase any goods they sell ie;edibles bud clones paraphanelia. there is one in annarbor and one in ypsi and others i have yet to find.

gruber you are right tho. you can also go to any doc that doesnt despise weed and establish a relationship then slowly start asking for a rec.
