I just use pelletized lime, Epsom salt, Espoma Tomato Tone, 2 dozen crawlers, and a ton of composted leaves and beer stuff from the brewery, 2 bags of manure to kick start it, then hit it with MegaCrop in flower. $50 for the season.
Sounds pretty awesome. I dont know what half of that stuff is, where to get it, or what to do with it. Hahaha.

Soil and non-prepackaged nutrient regimen knowledge are by far the weakest spot in my grow game. Just need to do way more research on the topic before I'm comfortable leaving the bottles that say "week 1...do this. Week 2...do this" I'd love to and plan to get deep into this part of growing, it's just a mountain I havent tackled yet. I'll look into the stuff you mentioned, as this seems like a good time to start. Thanks!

MegaCrop/Jacks 321 is cheap easy and ph stable, just mix, mix and pour.
Building organic soil with boxed amendments is tedious and expensive, keep it simpler.

Just doing a couple CriticalJack Auto, super fat fast plant. Then a couple ornamentals from Getaway for the porch. Those R2 phenos are a distinctive plant.
Too much time, effort, hydrogen peroxide for an 8x8 this year, but I have been eating awesome cookies and oil all winter long.
Armenian cukes, Crimean tomatoes, and some corn is my focus this year

Not sure if any of you fellas are interested, but Gardin grow shop in Braintree is having a little grow expo on April 6th. I think it starts at noon.

I've been shopping at Gardin since my first season. The owner Matt is one of those 100% solid dudes that you just want to do business with. Hes all about building the grow community, sharing info, super knowledgeable but zero ego...just good people.

Anyway, looks like they have a lot of local companies going. They are doing a $1000 raffle, 10% off anything in the store (they have a pretty big shop. There's an indoor basketball court, a tilapia tank, 7 or 8 tents set up...so it's roomy haha) and the companies will prob have free samples and stuff.

Couple names on the list that caught my attention...

Fish Sh!t - did some research and this stuff looks legit. Pretty excited to try it this year. Anyone have any experience with it?

Deep Roots Inc - I think they are affiliated with NugLabs genetics (https://nuglab.com/). So I am expecting to get some awesome seeds while Im there. Namely their "Tropical Starburst", "Lowland Afghani", and most of all...a 10 pack of "Black Jack".

These Black Jack seeds are supposed to be something special. It's a F1 hybrid of Deep Chunk from Seed Boutique (remember them?! I dont. But supposedly they were a big deal and had some smoking genetics) and Sensi Seed's Jack Herer. It's a 50/50 that finishes in late September supposedly.

Anyway, just thought I should give the local fellas the heads up. Maybe I'll see ya there.

Seedsman accepts Zelle payment, it happened to already be in my TD banking app. Took about 30 seconds to send payment.

What is everyone's thoughts on the ideal date to move plants outside this year?
Tough to say. For me it totally depends on the strain, how the plants are doing, if they are going in containers or the ground, the weather...tons of factors.

My plan is to be outdoors as soon as possible. Even if it's just during the day and then out of the elements and back inside at night. In my experience, the earlier I put them out (weather permitting of course) the better they do. My girls always seem to prefer the sun and the fresh air!

It's good to remember if you put plants in containers outside during the day early on to acclimatize them (a good idea) but bring them in at night, you ought to keep those plants away from any indoor plants you have.

Mites, aphids etc. love to hitchhike inside.

This will be my second outdoor grow (usually keep it all indoor). Super excited! I posted a few times in the old New England outdoor thread last year but ended getting so busy I stopped updating. I'll try and be better about it this year.

I'm gonna just put what I've been growing indoor outside. Not sure how they'll handle the mold but it'll be fun to see I suppose. As long I don't loose it all that is...

Line up:
Northern soul
Northern lights
Somango
Power africa
White widow
Pineapple express
Candy cream
Cd1
Momma mia
Girl scout cookies

They'll all be grown in those 18 gallon plastic totes. Picked up 19 of them for 1$ a piece haha.
I'd post a picture of my set up but its not working for whatever reason..

Great to see all the local growers... can't wait to see how everyone turns out this season.

Last weekend weather was fkn fantastic and it was really the first time I got outside to begin working on the greenhouse. So far I only have the site graded out but should have the grow boxes and stone base done by next weekend.

IMG_2108.JPG

The plants have completely outgrown the closet and they're already starting to spend the days outside. Looking at the weather they may be starting to spend the night outside within the next 7-10 days. This is where I wish the greenhouse was already set up, because they'd all be out full time by now.

Same here with wishing I could get outside. All my girls are ready to go. Just need the 8 straight days of rain and clouds to end and then I should be good.

I like getting an early start, and I have the lights to support them, but I was hoping the weather would cooperate enough to have them outside by now. As usual...no luck!
