I LOOOOVE BIG GIRLS... :hump:
lol...chubby chaser

ok so ive been away for a few days and have some updates some good one bad.

bad news first i knocked off the 3 upper most colas on the bonsai bush i had budding w like 15 colas on it....fan fell over on it when i was hanging one of my new 600 watters....casualty of war plus i learned a valuable lesson.

theres a pic in there of them....the 3 buds with the lighter...the girl has 3-4 weeks left on her and they were huge already and super dense...o well
i didi mention good news... my pre grow soon to be monsters are coming along nicely.
i have selected 2 deff candidates for the monster grow...pics below...they are 2 of the best clones i have going and each have 4 main shoots right now...im growing them a little taller then ima fim them for the first time.

im also going to move the majority of the veging plants i have into the budding area and re do the budding area.

i have my 5 white rhinos that are coming along nicely and the 4 that i started in mg are going to be transplanted to coco as soon as i move the non monster clones to bud

there are pics of the 4 mazars that i started a couple weeks ago...there coming along nice i just clipped the top growth on each of them and hope that with the coco they recover nicely and fast.

i have been feeding my coco plants botanicare pro veg and a silica suppliment every other watering and i water 1 x daily now....though i have allowed the coco go 1 1/2 days to dry a bit more and encourage root growth and stretching

yesterday i added my benificial bacteria and other goodies mix for the first time so ima wait a day to water again to give them some time before i wash some away

i have added two homemade co2 producers...2 1 gal milk jugs with sugar water and activated yeast...i try to shake them reguarly when the lights are on...and leave one in with the buding plants when off....

the plants i do have in bud are doing awsome...even with the setback of knocking off the 3 tops on the one plants i expect a killer yield for the size of the plants...not sure yet but im thinking arround 2 zips each possibly more

i started using molasses yesterday and expect that i wil be able to apply 2-3 more times before they come down in 3-4 weeks, i have also been using monster bloom and pro bloom and the silica in these 3 plants

i chopped down the big cola plant she wasnt quite done but i was getting anxious and all the regs arround here are seedy and crap right now so i figured id save some cash for a week or so and smoke her...choped 3 days ago...2 days left til i can try it
i figure ittle be just under a zip dry...it never got that tall or wide...justa bent over x-mas tree...lol

pics enjoy

ya 1800 watts digi balasts...i also got 650 mh watts and a 400 hps magnetic balasted setups if i so choose...but ima stick with the 3 600s right now...with my light meter the on i put up is kicking ass...nice coverage and i dont have reflection on 2 sides

thanks for the kind words brother..its always nice to have a few novelty items instead of the same smoke everyday..even if i hypothetically sell a pound I find people with say half and half of 2 names find that more appealing then 1 type alone. anyways i think u got ample light with those 3 600's to do some serious nuggy cultivation..be checkn in from time , to time...TM

Ok so yesterday I hung the first of my 3 new lights and man is it bright and the plants seem to be loving the extra watts and adjusted spectrum with the upgraded bulbs, I think they all grew an inch over night.. Can't wait wana start begging the big girls.

I hung another light today and took out the old hps and mh from the bbudding area. It's not even close the comparison by the two lights =650watts and the new digi I'm getting almost 2 x the light at a little more dstance from tops too awsome investment

I'm also gearing up to cool down the lights with homemade cool tubes

Ima grab some clear tubes from the local blower and hook it up maintman style
Gona go with a 4" carbonfilter + inline fan from the guys I got my lights from plus 50 feet of flex hose and prob 2 booster ducting fans
Carbon filter and fan 140$
Ducting 28$
12 hose clamps 12$
Two booster fans @ 20$
3 tubes 30-50$( not sure yet )
A hole saw or other device to cut the reflector

I plan to run the inline with filter to the first light and between the first and second light a booster fan, then a light then a booster fan then a light then through the ducting to the attic space of the house
I will "s" the ducting between the lights to cut down on restriction and will prob pick up a couple wall mount oscilating fans for a breeze in the room
I'm also slowly working my timers back so that I will be running the light at nightbinstead of the day mostly ittl take about 3 weeks to get it where I want at 20 min a day

I do want some input as to wether the night growi g may be more suspicious either via power company or the extra heat in the eve.... Do they still search the Skys in the US for grow rooms?
Some high temp tape

Ok well the idea I had for my exhaust is a no go. It seams as though the way I was originally going to cool the lights won't work very well and will be a lot of work for minimal results.

I have come up with two alternitave solutions

This one I like a little more than the other. We have polycarbonate sheets at work that are " saftey glass" it's rated to temps up to 800 f and through a test I performed with my light meter and a new small piece of the sheet and a thin pane of glass ( 1/3 the thickness of the sheet) I discovered that the sheet is clearer and allows more light to pass than the glass does

So ima get 3 pieces of the sheeting a little larger than my hood and build a box arround the reflector with small intake holes in the sheet near one end and seal the rest of the box and attach one of those booster fans with ducting to it to draw the air through and the heat away. The minimal ammount of light lost will more than be made up for by the distance of which I can keep the lights. I might even use the carbon filter and inline fan to force air into the box

Idea 2 pretty much same as above just use the bake tubes and position them to where there is a little space for air to suck in near the light base and cut a hole in the other end of the reflector so the tube can pass through and then attach the booster fans to suck the air past the light. I don't like this bc it diminishesnthe integrity of the reflector in 3 areas. Where. Cut and both sides of the tube where the arc of the tube meets the centerline of the light coming there will be a blurry spot. Plus my light meter showed me that the glass won't be as transparent

few pic updates... i have moved almost all of my plants to budding minus the 4 mazar that are coming along nicely and the 5 white rhino that i am going to move to there intermediate pots of coco tonight. i have 4 clones of the longest budding plants coming along nicely and are getting ready to start the monster veg.

so im never going to start another seed in soil again...i moved my 5 rhino and two other small cupped clones into their intermeiate sexing pots and i have a couple pics to show you ...the larger greener seedling is the only rhino i started in the coco, the others i started in mg organic. and made a mistake yesterday and watered them with water phed for the coco so there a little yellowish right now but the color is starting to come back after a couple waterings in the coco..

the facts the 1 rhino was started 2 days later than the other 4 and is well more advanced in its early stages... i wish i had though to take pics of the root ball in the bottom of the coco cup vs the lack there of in the mg cups but the pic of the surface do the plant justice

So things are going well in my grows. I just got done with a 5 day flush on my three girls that are almost done( 2-3 wks I'd say) they started showing nute stress so water it was.
My mazars are rocking and the big clones are almost ready to go monster I'll post some more pics of the whole garden and the three close girls tomar when I get off work... Working nights rocks and sucks all at once... LOL

That polycarbonate is very strong, very clear...BUT, polycarbonate blocks UV light completely...not a good thing to have your light passing through...trust me...I've had years of optical training...just don't want to see you wastin' your time and money by blocking the UV from reaching your plants...:peace:

wow...thank you so much...i was going to research it a bit more before i went ahead with it glad i went ahead and bought some glass tubes too...whew...ida made some kick ass cool boxes that wernt worth dick...n ida been pissed...power is 11 c per kwh here so im not trying to be wasting...im not actually sure if im allowed to do this and not sure exactly how it works but u deff need +rep for this bro i truly appreciate you saving me time and stress

so i just got done purchasing my air cleaner and exhaust for my lights ( well the stuff to do it with) im using the same people i got my lights from shipping was pretty good.
i got 1 6in carbon air filter w 6 in inline fan rated at 440 cfm
50' of 4" flexible ducting
3x 4" inline ducting fans
hose clamps
3 corning ware bake a round cake/bread tubes measuring 14 x 3 3/4
1 50' roll of mylar
im going to make a manifold out of fiberglass to transition the 6 inch inline down to the 3x 4inch outlets kinda like a w...or like the booster rocket exhaust on a nasa space ship.
ill run the air that comes through the filter into the manifold and out to each individual light which will have a booster fan attached to the exit side to aid in the flow of air out to the attic...
just under 400 for all the stuff minus the manifold that i have to build but i have some fiberglass sheet and resin from other projects so i shouldn't incur and cost there really

so all in all for the hardware not including supplies for the current grow i have about 1500 in my lights exhaust and the secret room i built....and im just growing for ny own personal use....and ittl more than pay for itself the first big grow i get done hopefully in 4 months

thats right its time...im waiting no longer....i amgoing to go ahead and start mooving things around in my room to get the girls growing big...ill post a pic of the before and the transition and after....im still going to bud out the plants i have right now im just going to build a box with a top that i can lower the light into and take it out w a pulley system when its time for lights out and the remainder of thr floorspace willbe devoted to the other girls getting big

speeking of which..ima go take a cutting each from the mazars so i can sex them soon
more pics soon i promise im just soo busy

ok so tomorrow everything is going to change in my secret room. im getting squared away to start growing up my big clones to big girls....i have the 4 best clones from the 3 females in the pics below and there all about a foot tall now...time to veg...lol....and the 4 mazars and 5 rhino are now just along for the ride and will be in the next big go round which will commence a couple weeks after this one finishes . and from then on ima do my big grow starting in the late fall so i can really keep the temps nice...night growing as well.

i will be sexing the mazars and rhino soon but havent taken cuttings yet...got busy. ill keep a clone each from the moms and keep them going w my 250 mh to be the next big girls, the rest of the clones and moms will get grown along side the big girls. so il have 6-8 plants in my op all on the same lighting schedual.

o well im rambling im soo tired...heres some pics....the 3 almost done plants that got a little nute and light burn with the molasses and the new light but we got that squared away and are expecting to chop next week

2 clones ablout 3 weeks into bud
4 other clones 1 week in
4-5 sativa dominant unknowns the best of the 10 orig... im gona get light to the tops by tomar...been focusing on the 3 in the middle making sure they get what they need now...and tomar all plants will get light to the tops and the veging plants will ahve the light moved 1 1/12 foot farter away
