That's great that no nutes is working just fine. I know LR's don't like too much anyway, but it's good that you're doing this experiment to show that it's not needed.

Lookin nice Zoid! It's gotta be the Lights, your soil is probobly pretty good too...But its still pretty amazing...I'll Probobly have my LR2 week 5 update tomorrow...

well...... i tell em i love em while romantically serenading them with my harp... i think that's what it REALLY is.


thanks though, i don't over water and they really do prefer low ferts, my last grow was much better at this point and i did use ferts. i mix hydroton in with my dirt, theres old perlite and vermiculite in it as well, i think the amount of air in the soil is a big factor in how they grow, as well as the lighting, you can clearly see the lil plants don't get enough light compared to the taller ones..... i will be happy with 5oz from this grow. i don't think the lil ones will give more than 5 - 8 grams each. but the others should come real close to the oz mark.

so i trimmed off some of the main fan leaves last night before the lights went out.... there is about %50 more light hitting the lower areas. i will not be postin pics till next wed. unless my x brings her camera over before then.

i started some for outside on the 18th and sexed two females and one male this morning. day 15. they have been under one 30watt regular cfl two 42watt regular cfls and two 13 watt blue cfl's. they have been treated the same as the bed, the only difference is the type of lighting. i believe these lights would be enough to grow 4-5 lr2's all the way with no decrease in final weight.

Hey I've been noticing somthing with my LR2's for the past few days that I'm kinda concerned about, I was hoping maybe you had some insight...

Everyday starting around the 12th hour of their lighting cycle (I give em 17/7) the fan leaves near the top of the plant start to get floopy....but as soon as the dark cycle is over and the lights are back on, the leaves are nice and perky....

I'm wondering if this may be a lowryder trait for the end of their life cycle...or maybe somthing else....like too much light or humidity?

it would most likely be from the heat of your lights, the plants loose ALOT of moisture from there leaves, during the dark cycle they retain the water they need. i wouldn't worry too much about it, maybe raise your light and inch or two and put your fan on a higher setting towards the end of the day. my blue cheese was doing the same thing for a couple days, she's about 3 weeks old and under 150watts of hps, i just raised my lights and the problem was solved.

Yea..maybe it is the heat....I'm only using cfl's but there are 7 of em each 25 watt, surrounding the AG real close.....I keep those cfl's realllll close....

What no pictures until next week? I thought today was going to be picture day. My whole week is ruined. guess I will go back to bed. You were right about the male pods opening up early on my plants. A week later the pollen sacks are still developing and have not released any pollen. I'm watching closely as it is time to pollinate as soon as they open. I think the quarentine spot they are in is a little cold at night. Oh well.

no no no yesterday was picture day... tuesdays! there on page 14.... we've kinda been shootin the shit here so there's less grow and show per page;) i'll try to get some up before next tuesday though... to show off there hair cuts.

as far as cold.... so i took a few males outside two weeks ago... and the next day we got 8 inches of snow. then it melted almost all the way, then freezing rain, then lower 40's weather.... then a lil more snow.... then this past week it has been above freezing even at night..... and THERE STILL ALIVE! and no shit, they are starting to grow again.... the warmest it has been where i live is 52 degrees, and that was for like three hours one day.

Can't believe I skipped over those pics. They look great. I'll bet the growing helps keep your mind off the shitty weather you have been experiencing.
