I read your post, sounds like you are selective on this inquiry but I will add something useful as it sounds like this is your first “dope” setup lol.

Tents often come tight on its frame, causing holes in the seams and will get a little bigger but thats it. It will not cause light leaks INSIDE. I stood inside, no leaks at all. Do not over think light proofing your intake. As stated, I stood inside while TV and lights were on in the room, pure dark. Grow lab, flowering room so it MUST be dark. This was all I did to light proof the intake, that faces the darkest side of the room in a corner:

Mylar taped over it. S’it!

Now I do have expirience shopping and selling and handling things in this day in age, reviews CANNOT determine your choices, defects will happen with any any any mfg. It is about how they make up for it, and how long they offer that for. Reviews look good? If it werw heavily reviewed, you WILL read discouriging reviews even with UL products. Will be people who are misusing it too or doing something wrong or do not have 2 cents to offer on this anyway and only dicouraged you.

Some times you are so limited, you just HAVE to say screw it and take a chance. I did that twice, happy. Pole caved in, they are sending new ones.

Fans? You will need static pressure to pull air at all and to give slack for when your filter clogs a little, or entirely if the filter is just a bad design or seems to only do it to you or you have a dusty room. I chose to rely on a suggestion on here that was from someone who made many flower runs with it and did not smell anything until they opened the tent. Vivosun 6” filter, has not disapointed yet and no signs of it doing so soon.

My folks/roomates, what ever your conerned for, mine are 100% ok with this because they do not smell a thing and it is LED, runs very cool to the touch.

Fan can be 200cfm but 20 cfm under 1” h2o. That terminoligy will take a second to figure out if you do not know it already lol. Just know cfm and what it isnunder 1”h2o, most will mot even publish that.. (hmmm…. lol) So how long will they stand behind their product, costing you a new one after that time exceeds? One year? 5?

I recommend and own a Vortex, canadians are leading the industry with their duct blowers. 2 reasons… high cfm with and without 1” h2o applied. Now I only just learned their S lines are fairly weak. I have one. But just bought the VTX400 4” because carbon filters are to be replaced every 4-6 months. 4” filter: 36$. 6” filter: 60$. The cfm is 220 and under 1”h2o, it is 119. STRONG fan. Check! 97$ on amazon! Usually 120$ or 200$ with shipping.

Stand behind their product? Only for 10 freakin years. So good I sound like a salesman just telling you about it, but promise I am not, just enjoy seeing concerns I once had and enjoy sharing.

I have both clip in poles/metal corners and plastic push in poles/corner pieces. The clip in was lovely and known to be stronger. Plastic, had the f#cker collapse on me five times lol. The tent is part of its structure. These are Grow Lab and Hydropolis tents, Hydropolis is the metal corner ones, lacks good zipper closed position light proofing flaps and the Grow lab has better design. Zippers are just fine on both. GroLab had thinner fabric but was slightly smaller tent.

These tents are fairly cheap and questionable on sellers site or amazon. You would not of even considered them. They turned out great and got good service on one already. Strict spacing or else I would of bought AC or Mars etc. I do not think the cheaper deseigns lack what you need.

Secret jardin 2x2 was great, too short though to my liking. Tent fabric fits snug, but again, plastic corners. Every thing will lack something but this is probably the greatest advice I shared yet for new growers probably because it is not related to growing plants themselves lol I will get there, already trying lol I have a good two cents for starting up a grow op and the veg part of growing, when I see it asked I offer it.

Remember theres a difference to exaust and airflow, most have both, some use exaust to do it all but with bigger spaces you need mini fans or tower fan in the corner as one suggested to me. So the mylar over the intake is not an issue.

Zippers have slight light leaks going out but as stated, doesn’t always mean it peaks inside and people covered it on threads here that if it did a little that it is more a myth/debate that plenty of pros agree its not causing issues. I don’t even have that!

Good luck! Most exciting thing I have done in my life!

Thank you, idk how it is on here but I love lengthy in depth replies Im not so worried about it, and it is my first real set up, but I was just trying to see if anyone could either confirm or deny the reviews I was seeing. Im not so worried about the smell leak because I know the ventilation im buying is well more than enough but with some of the holes ive seen I would be worried, the guy i was referring to said it was shipped that way and he had 6 or 7 good sized holes along his zipper and had pics in a dark room with his lights on and there was significant light leakage, enough to light up about a foot in front of the tent well enough to see the floor, but im wondering if he was really rough setting it up. I heard they can be a pretty tight fit so I can see impatient people getting frustrated and over muscling stuff if you know what I mean.

Im not exactly a novice grower, but I am also not an experienced grower either, i used to grow for fun and since I wasnt putting any REAL effort into it, i just grew 4 to 6 at a time in my bedroom closet and often let my flowers seed so I could have seeds to grow again with, but its been years since Ive even done that. Really looking forward to getting it all set up.

I planning on buying the 6in inline ducting kit with the controller i wanted it for the fan and the light since the light with the built-in timer was 50 bucks more so why not just get the controller with the ventilation kit. From the testing ive seen it looks pretty reasonable. They definitely dont lie about the stats on their site, the only discrepancies i saw was the efficacy it says 2.79 umol/j but if you look at the total ppfd and divide it by the actual wattage you get 4.1 which is from what I understand is physically impossible right now
Not sure what’s included with the ducting kit but I can say that I’ve never seen better ducting made than the AC Infinity black duct.

Can’t speak on their tents, as I have a generic small 2.6x2.6 tent and a 5x5 Gorilla tent. Although I do own an AC Infinity T4 and T6 in-line fans and they are fantastic.

Im getting the 6in for my 3x3. The lights are phenomenal by the way. Weve talked before but just out of the box and a quick on and off....better than any other led ive used in the past as a hobbiest by like 1000 fold. Im not gonna lie i wanted to take a video of it off, then at 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, then full power. The click to turn it on and off was stiff so i ended up spinning it right up to 100% and my eyes instantly started pounding, saw spots for like 15 minutes. I get the tent on Wednesday. After i move I will post a pic of it all set up. So if anyone was wondering the same as me can be put at ease, or maybe not, but i honestly think the tent will be fine 2 or 3 bad reviews out of the several hundred on each site gives me confidence, i just tend to have horrible luck.

Thats the plan i just have my heart set on growing as soon as i move. Got everything except the tent. For some reason thats taking an extra 2 days and im having ventilation sent to my new address when I purchase it on thursday. Move date is next tuesday!
Oops i meant the tent and ventilation...

Growing is patience. Although it’d be best to set everything up and see how your environment is with lights, fans, etc running in your space.

That being said there’s no reason you can’t start to germinate the seeds while you wait if you’ve really got the itch.

Yeah I know but that's where Im stuck. Me and my gf broke up a a month an a half ago, it was mutual so we are living together till I move as I didnt have the savings at the time to move right away. She doesnt mind that I consume but she wont even let me keep my bud in the house and I have a small safe. Its been the most aggravating thing about our relationship cuz im rolling around in my car dirty everyday. Never mind trying to grow, she'd throw away anything that started to grow when I wasnt home out of paranoia. Its coming. But patience isnt my thing lol waiting for something I know is coming makes me anxious but in a good way.

Yeah as shown below, it can happen but inside the
tent it is pure dark.

Yes they can be fragile, but this was lower end after market type quality, the AC should be like my name brand secret jardin; thick and sturdy fabric.

I would choose one media and receive advice on that media. I do coco/perlite hydroponics, hydro because all the nutrients are in the water provided. Some ask why I keep saying hydro lol. I do this for growth faster than I seen in soil even with good seeds which hydro is known for, and it is really easy but more work until you set up automatic watering.

They would correct the situation if they were a good store, being a name brand I am sure they will. I wasn’t expecting it from mine, and they did. I see tents as disposible and maybe useful for creating a DIY tent if you are into that.

I strongly recommend a reputable seed bank, until you can look into breeding a male and female strain for bulk seeds outside in a greenhouse or other location in general, someone just helped save my garden avoiding bag seed.

The tricky part of growing, is flower. Knowing when to harvest it, avoiding dying leaves and having the best smoke with no seeds or under developed seed kernles that you cannot pick out and burn just as harsh as seeds. Creating good yield too, I am about to see how easy it infact is lol.

Best advice I received today on avoiding a female growing nanners and creating seeds is using stable genetics from a seed bank, I use attitude seed bank, no wierd money order or wiring stuff to get seeds, just buy and accepts most cards.

Creating good smoke with also take curing skills. Just expirience and effort, I am a large consumer so I am trying to reach for the stars lol only to find a whole universe. I was expiriencing more poor results until I put more into this, if you had it that simple and were happy, thats great to! We often say as long as your happy. But if you’re not, someone here surely will know whag the next step is. Have yet to not get an answer on something.

Edit: I see tents as disposable because you need negative air pressure for it to be smell proof and that slowly wears seams and zipper usage too.

Bro the 400w s44 is freaking incredible just turning it on from out the box. Im still seeing stars cuz i didnt mean to blast myself at 400 watts. But i accidentally turned the dial all the way up when i turned it on. Its got a nice solid on off click snd the adjustment arent as stiff.
there are basically no grow reports though. i took a chance hoping it was basically the viparspectra with a better arrangement. i want to know why the extra 30w....it would be a deal killer if it wasn't for light.

You use attitude? Really, where are you located. I was told by quite a few people that since it will most likely come thru chicago because of where I live theres a higher chance of confiscation. I never knew it before but appearently chicago has the highest rates of confiscation. But there are soooooo many strains I wanna try on attitude you just dont see on us banks

AC has an excellent rep for quality and quiet fans and filters.

Tents imo are simple, most are manufactured by a few overseas manufacturers and quality control has historically been an issue with any brand except the Gorilla tents which go many extra miles to make tank like tents and charge for it. All the different brands are largely the same ime and just rebrand.

I would not stress, it doesnt matter if you buy ac or another brand, you set it up and see if there are issues...if so exchange it.

Ime, opulent tents have been a nice brand at a good price.
If I was the OP and I was concerned with potential light leaks, I'd throw all my money at Gorilla and become unrelenting in my pursuit of a grow tent that doesn't have leaks. I'd be emailing them every hour with pics asking for a new tent if one showed up and had any holes whatsoever.

Gorilla grow tents are known for going above and beyond to manufacture a tent built like a brick shithouse.

Edit: whether this is true or no, they make a very compelling case for why their tents are a 'step above everyone else'

I can’t speak for others about the AC I tents, but I own 3 and love them all. My 4x4 from them is actually better than my 2x4 from them. Maybe I got lucky?

Very little to no light leaks on mine. Well built and I love their controller mounting plate. I also own 2 of their 4” fans and a 6” all on their controller 67, with their new 69 Wi-Fi on the way. Their black ducting is superior from what I’ve used in the past, in my opinion.

I never had mine taken nor my friends, it is legal now due to the hemp act, freaked out thinking I commited fed mail crime lol Laws on weed are funny right now. I select stealth shipping, it is guarenteed if it is confiscated. Should not be, they sneak through real stealth. Just. receved an order the other month just fine.

Just finished dealing with customer service about their lights. They have no clue about them at all and only know what the box says. They have to ability to contact their manufacturer. Their lights are not the spec they say they are, or are at least not described the same way as other modern LEDs are. Sad. It's possible they are great lights, but their company is a joke

Bro you're still mad your lights are putting out extra watts? Use the dimmer.

No. I got another mail from them saying they are sorry that they don't know anything about their lights. That is so dumb. I think I figured out how they have messed this up, but they are rediculous. I think the light is ok. It has more diodes than other 240s. So they are probably not referring to the wall draw. Other 240s won't send 240w to the lights.

I have a 3x3 tent, 4" exhaust fan and some fabric pots from AC Infinity. The tent has some minor pin hole leaks around the zipper but not enough to keep plants from flowering. So far I've done 3 runs and all started flowering 7 days from flip with no issues. Tent is holding up nicely after 2 years. I put a little 3 in 1 oil on the zippers for some PM. I'm betting this tent will last for years. The fan I run at 50% which seems to give plenty of air flow and is whisper quiet. I don't like the speed controller indicator light, it's too bright and would light up my bedroom at night if so I covered it up with some cardboard. The mounting system is pretty elegant. The fabric pots were heavy duty with grommets built in which come in handy for LST but at the end of the day they're fabric pots no more no less.
In retrospect I would not buy a 3x3 tent, I would get a 2x4 instead. There is a much better selection of cheap lights available for a 2x4 as opposed to 3x3.
I have attached a couple of pics of the fan controller with my cardboard cover.

AC Infinity are a company I will never buy anything from again. The Cloudline T6 with Bluetooth controller I bought a month ago and they still have not shipped.

Total BS when I can flip a tent to flower (the tent i bought it for) and looks like I will be harvesting before they bother to even post it. Shit service. Their postage is a scam too. Unless you have a following and are posting publicity to make them more sales they couldn't give a damn.

Oh and the Cloudray fan I bought they don't recommend running it 24hr a day lol joke.
