I've had a good week !!, hope all is well for everyone, and their SCROG Grow's :) :) :) - STELTHY :leaf:

Here are some pictures of my SCROG. Getting pretty close to flipping, probably about 3-4 days really as I just cranked the heat and co2 to get them to hurry the fuck up.

Not heavily trimmed understory. in the one vertical picture you can actually see the screen in the top of the picture....not a whole lot of thickness veg wise.

Can't wait to pop these suckers. BOOM!!

Lookin' epic, can't wait to see those girls fill out!

Stealthy my friend i remember reading all ur posts when u started building ur first cab, when u were doing all ur research, asking questions ect. You've come a long way in not a lot of time, along with ur setup and well.... I'm fucking impressed. Your grow looks mint, ur setup looks nice, as well as doing its job perfectly. What a stealth scrog....U were meant for this! +rep

Here is my delima, my girls are 41 days old and I'm scrogging them so flip is about 20 days off. My home made cabinet has 2 6in fans on top of the the lights so needless to say it's not light proof from the top, I planned to solve that by covering the top with a heavy blanket. At the time I was convinced that my cfls ran cool enough where that wouldn't be a problem, now I'm not so sure. So I'm trying to figure how I can make it light tight durning dark and not burning them up. If I cover the top of the box with the heavy blanket no air can circulate as I have 2 fans on top of the piece holding the lights....I just haven't worked it out......suggestions ?

Yeah if the fans r 6 in and the holes are 4 inch then run the fans into a 6 to 4 in reducer inside the cabinet. Then run to dryer duct flaps on top of the board, they stay closed until your fans turn on. That should work as long as those fans kick off when your lights do.IMG_20111011_213136.jpgIMG_20111011_213122.jpg

My suggestion is to use inline duct fans (about 15 bucks a piece at Lowe's) in the place on your little cage fans and run some reflective ducting up and over the side of the box, then you can hang a blanket over and still get circulation as the hoses will be extended out but down, not exposing the inside to light.

That would work but I would adivse you that those inline fans at HD are garbage, utter garbage. pick up a green hydrofar inline booster if your really going to go that route.

I don't disagree that the inline duct fans are junk but for that setup its a cheap way to go, I would also suggest using a can fan of some sort, small would be fine for that setup but if you ever plan to expand, a 6in 400+ cfm would do nicely.

Hey legally, whats the name of the process that makes the plant decide what is the main stalk? you mentioned it before (and honestly I should know it) but I can't find the post.

^ yup. Auxins are one of the most inportant hormones in plants. They do a bunch of shit, and like most things in the plant world, they do different things when different concentrations of other hormones are around.

But anyways, here is the scoop on auxins and trainings..

Apical dominance

Auxin induces shoot apical dominance; the axillary buds are inhibited by auxin. When the apex of the plant is removed, the inhibitory effect is removed and the growth of lateral buds is enhanced as a high concentration of auxin directly stimulates ethylene synthesis in lateral buds causing inhibition of its growth and potentiation of apical dominance.

You don't have to remove the top shoot to inhibit auxin, this is why LST works

Cheers

Excellent, thank you for that. I'm doing a bit of information compiling and could not remember the name of that process to save my life!

Now I'm just getting up LOL I have strep throat so I was just laying in bed going through my posts, I posted in this thread and like 2 minutes later it popped up again. I was like WTF?
