Looks good to me. I'm convinced. Makes me glad I have my little panel.

Well if you need to be spoon fed......

Page 31 564 grams from a 600watt GLH LED courtesty of Irishboy

http://ledbudguy.com/showthread.php/1-Confined-Space-1020W-LED-24-Afgani-Kush/page15

1111.4 grams from 720 watts of actual draw (1020 advertised wattage hence the title). It's not cured but even allowing for another 10% drop in weight (not likely curing dry bud) still gonna be 2.25 pounds. 24 sq ft. 6-ISIS 170's

Just to put that in perspective, to match that would require a yield of OVER 3 POUNDS FROM A 1000 WATT HID

Then there's my own. 327 grams from 360 watts the first time which I kinda screwed up.
https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/386508-hempstar-3-stage-led-grow.html

Current one is still under 360 watts actual draw (2 Magnum LED's) over a 4x4 area. 10 days to go and there's already over a pound and gonna guess I hit 18-20 oz's and I been at this a while and know what I'm looking at. Already good sized buds and rock hard.

In case ur too lazy to follow links......here's johnny

How big an area you gonna run them over and how many plants?
i have a pretty modular grow space. This is where LED's REALLY SHINE (no pun intended). I am very happy putting money down for a setup that lets me add lights, remove lights, move lights, etc.. to meet MY needs.

I typically grow in a 3x5 space, but might end up downsizing it to 3x3 for fun to see what i can do with it.

HID's are pretty much "hang them up and thats it". With smaller LED panels im able to move lights to areas where the light can be most effective. Can you imagine trying to even setup 4-6 250w or whatever else HPS bulbs over a modular grow setup? HELL NO, way too much a headache for me.

Im all about having a more modular setup, which included lamps, plants, AND my elec bill :) Why would i pay 1000w worth of elec if i only need to grow a couple of smaller plants?

SO my question people(dunit) what type of g/w ratio seems to be the average when using LED's
There is no way to establish this, most panels are crap, and most of the people that buy them are newer growers. People also do their math wrong because they haven't calculated the accurate wattage of their light, and overestimate how good the lights are. Basically you can get yourself LED that grows better and more per true watt going into LEDs than you can per watt into HID, but the upfront cost for LED is much higher (but easily offset depending on some things). Each has its pros and cons, but it isn't very difficult to replace HID with LED

It is tough to come up with real numbers and that is the one thing that sucks about this part of the industry. There are dozens of LED Panel manufacturers out there and that's not including all the small "custom made" manufacturers advertising on ebay, alibaba and amazon. Then you have number of spectrums. Lens angle. Individual LED wattage. Total panel wattage. Basically the choices are almost endless and unlike a 1000 HPS it is impossible to tell what you actually have by looking at your panel. It's pretty much impossible to tell the lens angle, if they are 1 watt of three watt diodes, if there are different colors of red or blue...etc...

The real shitty thing is a lot of manufacturers use this confusion to sell garbage.

I understand a fair bit about electronics having been in the commercial control panel industry for years and even so I'm at the point where unless I see a grow journal running a particular light I don't believe anything I read.

Don't believe marketing....believe results!

I've actually thought about setting up a webpage with independent testing of various LED panels and ACTUAL LIVE GROWS with those panels on the site. The theory being that only manufacturers who were willing to put their money where their mouth is would be willing to send their lights to be showcased.

The two issues I see with that are that it could quickly turn into a fulltime job and not really sure I wanna grow pot for a living. I'm a pretty normal guy with wife, kids and no tatoos and I'm welcome at Disney World and I kinda like it that way :)

Also, I don't legally have the plant numbers to run more than two maybe three grows at once.

you could always set up a site like that if you ever got the time but with others growing as well
i wouldn't mind a free led light haha
yeah i was a lil confused when i was buying my led i thought 120w would be kick ass ... now i have to buy a hps as well (not that im complaining) and upgrade later
but for my first grow shes doing alright

another Q
How close do you have your leds to your plants

12-15". Could probably go a little further with 60 degree lenses but I like the results I'm getting :-)

"led manufacturers are slimy and try to mislead people"

thats because theyre not real scientists just resellers of a tech they dont even have a clue about

on the other hand http://tinypic.com/r/2r5gleg/7 theres someone with more than a clue the guy i bought my lights from

and you cant argue 86 grams of yield rom a '90w' panel that actualy drew around 50-60w every hour and that included me fucking the plant up many times

Gonna need a lotta panels for 100 square feet....

Ha maybe you should tell us your budget

Another thought, a quality panel will have a quality warranty. Since these things are supposed to last 10 years I'd expect it to be warrantied for at least 25% of that. ISIS/Magnum that dunit uses run a 3 year and irishboys GLH run a 5 year. Theres several other brands out there too. Find a brand, look for a journal. If theres not legit journals using them, good bud shots, etc, I'd keep looking

I went with Black Dog but cant give a good report as I have only been flowering for 3 week with them
On the other hand Corry at Black Dog is Great , Great customer service and they are blowing my 400w HPS out of the water
Hope that helps
