13.8 watts? lol dude your not going to grow much with that dinky setup...... and those look like the leds that come in clock radios. there are no lenses for refraction either. for the panels you would waste your money grab a couple of blackstars and grow bro.

13.8watts divided by 225 led's equals about 0.061watts per led........u may wanna save up a little cash and upgrade. I did 6 weeks of cfl flowering 3 weeks of led flowering for a total of 9 weeks. Turned out great Ill be harvesting in a few days.

holy shit thats a ton of growth in under 3 days from when you had them under cfl's
!!!!! jesus christ man!!! i wonder how many you would need to get some nice buds ...
i would recommend it..... my ladies(which just started showing sex) are about to hit the 4 week mark on sunday. i am seeing HUGE changes in the growth of these plants. The EXPLODED with growth and i honestly cant wait to get the summary of my check on monday so i can plan out my bills to buy my whole new grow tent setup. im going to be purchasing the 2011 model in 240 or 300 for sure bro. i highly HIGHLY recommend the blackstar series now. plus i got mine on ebay new for under 130 shipped. and it hit my door in under 4 days! oh btw my model is more towards the flowering side so with autoflowers i think this might be interesting since they spend most of there life making buds. i have them in 3 gallon containers so im praying for a zip per lady on my first batch. after this i am going to run a setup with white widow norther lights and a few autoflowers to hold me over till the monsters are ready for harvest.
here are my ladies just 6 days ago View attachment 1383685View attachment 1383686View attachment 1383687
now here they are with around 3 days of led lights..... the growth inbetween the 3 days till i got my leds was almost none.

Not really as he says his 70 watt lights are as good as 2 x 90 watt UFO lights. The guy has been totally honest with me from day one, he doesnt make stupid claims that alot of other sellers on ebay do. He says you need at least 210 watt of top quality LED's per square metre to equal a 600 watt MH. He says my 280 watt in my cab will be awesome.

Its alot of money but i tool the plunge, just the way he explains things gives me confidence in what he says. You should def talk to him. His name is Richard.
Are there any finished grows using these lights? They just look like super crappy LED panels.

Could you link me to some seed harvest grows with those? I never seem to be able to make searches work on these websites

I have asked him for some pics of his trial grows.

This guy seems to talk alot of sense, he says the ideal blue light absorbtion is 430nm and 453nm, CREE blues are 460 and 475 where as his blue lights are 440 and 460 so what he is saying is that his LED's are closer to the premium absorbtion.

Just ordered the Lighthouse Blackstar 240 watt for flowering, cant wait for it to get here and set it up next to the 400 watt HPS.....im hoping for a 40-50% increase in yields, that seems reasonable, no?

40-50% increase in yields, that seems like a stretch.......keep us posted though

Is mylar or other reflective material as important with those Kessil lights since they seem to produce a narrow band of light ?
Not really needed at all - I just use reflective material to stop tell-tale light escaping.
REALLY??
That would save me SO much effort in my kessil cab/tent project. Wouldnt the lower buds that are covered by the canopy & higher buds be massively effected?

Yeah, Griffta, I don't know for sure, but somewhere along the line in my study of LEDs, I read that reflective benefits were negligible with LEDs.

Genius! thanks viagro. I think I'm gonna scrap the whole tent idea then & just clear out my built in wardrobe & hang a kessil in there :-)
thats made my day

That sounds like what I'd probably do. Post some pics when you get set up. Good luck.

wow man i was just browsing some threads and found one with some great hydro advice but god damn if they arent light nazis up in that bitch lol they cant accept the fact that an LED even when you admit all the drawbacks they have like harder to get the same yeild they cant accept the fact that LED's have a place in growing they say LED"s cant even grow a plant and they are also in there yelling about induction and how its an overglorified fluoro lol. Fuckin nazi's. I dont ask for people to like led's i ask for them to realize they exist and arent going anywhere they are a viable alternative.

bit of a newb question but are nuits the same across all forms of growing? or are there better nuits for LED grows etc..?
