I bet he does. Anyone want to tell me why this tiny ass Area 51 panel is so expensive? They appear to be inexpensively made, low wattage, small coverage.

If I were to purchase an LED fixture what would you recommend? I'm not making some half ass cob thing with all sorts of metal pieces taped up hanging from shoe laces. As you can probably tell money dosnt really matter. I would like to compare any advice to the kind that I have already purchased 2 of. instead of name calling and putting down members of the forum for their purchases please read the above posts

Does kind led lie about the par readings at the 3 different heights? Isn't par one of the most important factors in a light? Doesn't having an adjustable spectrum benefit the user and plants at different stages of life?

Another note about being cheap Chinese lights, they do come with an impressive warranty. Cheap Chinese LEDs come to mind when I compare the kind to the 600 watt Mars hydro I got in eBay. It's 20% the size, weighs about 5lbs compared to the kind which scared me to hang with the little ratchet hangers.

I have seen great results with the light. Results that will pay the light back in almost one plant. Then add in the other factors, 700 watts at the wall. That's pretty damn good especially seeing it cover 6 plants very well.

All in all of the majority of the veteran led users all talk great about the Area 51 which I am almost at the point of desperate to know the reasoning. If I walked into a store being completely blind and saw these 2 lights, one with the kind led web info next to mine and the other with the Area 51 web info next to that one I wouldn't hesitate in deciding on the kind.

As far as the comments about my plants being nute burned again I am learning. In a few months or a few more grows im sure my results will be very good.

now now girls you're both pretty =) as a person who was using a Apollo's then to 2 KIND 600's, I never had a problem beyond the over engineered interface. I'm now using SK's400+@120 and IMHO, white light works just as well, and my eyes thank me too. I am now planning my custom COB/MW lighting solution which I think will be even better. I bet beans with anyone, we will see company's like KIND, Blackdog, CA light works, Luminex all have white COB solutions soon. they may pepper some reds in there but you cant fight wafer technologies they will get better and more efficient.

you will get you monies worth out of those lights no doubt, but keep looking forward you wont have those lights forever. were always looking for the best.

for the record I like A51, PLC, kush INO, high point, tasty LED an a few others.

If money means nothing to you look at a good horticultural led fixture like the apache at600,that light will blow any kind led out of the water.

Yes youve stated that you are learning and thats good, but you are learning about all aspects of growing and that includes lighting.

You want a light without gimmicks and bullshit, high PAR and efficiency.

marshydro is having a big dump sale on lights. they are phasing out the series I's you can get two 300's for like 130 bucks( or 2x600 for $280) + free delivery. their new line has ALOT more full white light's in them in the vid they go from the old dark pink a much lighter shade, but still pinkish.

I'm almost tempted to get them to fuck around with, start a new 4x4 and try stuff I would never dare on my main lol.

Well I hope they flower well too because they are what I plan to use. I have $280 into them and hope I get results. I used a LED bulb and a CFL last year and the plant was beautiful but didnt get much weight for bud.

According to a lot of folks here they are loading weapons when myself and another mentioned kind LEDs. If they bash the kind I hate to see what they say about Mars

run what you got, I might say you could round out that light set up with a cheap CMH, find one used, or one from home depot(be under out door lighting) the hydro ones are like 280 bucks + 40 reflector. towards the end of my kind led runs, I got two CMH cheap, they are only like 300 watts I felt like they helped, or maybe it was voodoo but I felt good about it lol.

but even with what you have, is more then enough to start growing/learning. that 1000 is 5x5 right, so you have a lot of light there.

image.jpg Hey billy I have bad news. Luckily I just bought the k5's so the warranty should take care of a replacement after I starve the plants and have to pay prob 75$ to ship it back

Resinhound was right unfortunately

31 LEDs are burnt out as of 10 minutes ago when I left the room. Son of a fucking bitch

I have 2 kind k5's 2 Mars hydro 600's and 2 I power digital dimable 600 hps.

I preferred the LED and the Mars were way to small and under powered. Their actual is 50% less than the rated. A 600 that draws 240 watts compared to the Kind on the other hand is drawing 760 of the rated 1000.
