You are incorrect. Go hang out with tshirtninja

If you wanna see your plants turn purple you should water them with ice water for the last couple of weeks. Dude called 619ster from another forum does it and pulls color from even non purple strains
Thanks for the tip, I'll have to give that a shot.

LED wont stretch if you keep the light close enough, its just hard to tell ATM b/c not everyone has a PAR meter to judge the par from a distance.
Anything will stretch if the light source is weak enough..... in this case it was a Blacktar. Draw your own conclusions

Stretching isn't just a matter of light, strain plays a major role in how much a plant stretches in flowering, Yes a strong powerful light can reduce the stretching when placed closer etc.. But when the lights are out there are 12 hours that the genetics play a role with. But anyway when working with a tall strain there are plenty of control methods besides the light you need to maintain to keep it from running away on you.

obvious troll is obvious
Shut up 105 posts. Go back and see how long I've been in this thread

Yeah colorado why u steady bashin blackstar?
Because they are the Walmart generic quality of the LED light world. Show me any quality Blackstar journals. Kush Groove's journal is the only thing Blackstar has going for it and I already expressed my thoughts on that. Everyone in here is looking for the "cheap way into the LED game" or to "discover the NEXT big LED company" and it gets irritating. I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you want an LED panel and want results like someone else's journal you've seen, you gotta get the same light they were using, and it's not a Blackstar.

You want a Ferrari? Don't waste your money on a Mustang then!

You know what I'm tired of? Everyone latched onto irishboy's nuts like he's the holy mesiah of led growing and thinking spectras are the one and only leds that produce. That shit is annoying. I'd rather have everyone using different lights trying to find more quality options than trying to mimic some dude's grow that saw success. My thoughts are buy a light that you feel comfortable with the tech specs of and aim for a realistic goal, don't buy a light just because someone else did.

I'm looking forward to proving that wrong and believe the Blackstar line will perform supurb when using multiple panels. There is a lot more Blackstar data out there then just Kush Groove's journal. How about this direct competition of a Blackstar 240 vs a Spectra 240 with the Blackstar coming out with a higher gram per watt then a panel that is using 112 more watts!

Not bad from a panel that is only 2/3's the size of the spectra. But hey this is just another journal and it was generally sucky for both lights but it does show data with the Blackstar yielding 25% more on a gram per watt basis. The Blackstar being an inexpensive LED light is actually a big plus in my book because it means you can buy more of them to cover more space then dropping all you watts into a larger panel.

I've seen some quality Blackstar journals as well and do believe they'll bring the goods. Seriously a company can only sell so many people a bullshit light before they'll have a riot on their hands. They've sold a ton of units and during my research I talked with several people who are pretty happy with the quality for the price. The only thing that kept me from buying them was the 1 year warranty. I was looking for a bit longer in terms of coverage for my investment. Are they the best, probably not, but definitely not the worst considering some the shit that gets pawned off on uneducated consumers on Ebay (I'm lookin at you LED Wholesalers). Considering warranty and price, if you don't wanna throw down serious dough and are interesting in trying LED then they might be a decent choice.

Results speak for themselves. On a different forum you will see 15-20 people "on irishboys nuts" proving the quality of GLH panels. Just cause he's the only person YOU know of doesn't really mean much.

obvious troll has a lot of time on his hands...shocking
Maybe instead of worrying about me you could get an avatar pic, or start a grow journal, or do anything valuable for this forum.....

Hopes and dream my friend! And you are incorrect. If you look closely you'll see I post on that forum and in that particular thread. In post #443 he posts this:
Pineapple Express:
Grown under Blackstar - 34.4 grams
Grown under GLH 240W - 49.7 grams

StarTrek:
Grown under Blackstar - 15.6 grams
Grown under GLH - 24.1 grams

And in post #433 you'll see his light meter test. The Blackstar isn't even close

Post up some links the broseph! You're in the LED thread, by all means prove me wrong. And your logic about the riot is flawed in that Cammie fucks people over all the time yet you still see people buying and running Penetrators....

Thanks for the stats on that forum, I saw your posts. I didn't want to register to view the pics.

How did you come to the conclusion that irishboy is the only spectra user that I know of? All I was saying was im tired of folks thinking he's the led god. I have no doubts that spectras are quality lights. You did, however, reiterate my original statement by saying there are 15-20 people sucking his dick on other forums. There are other lights out that perform just as well, if not better and many people only buy spectras based on the skills (and luck?) of another grower. That's all I meant by what I said

I don't think many people are buying spectras at all...especially compared to blackstars...that's why they continue to troll the blackstar in every thread they mention the real watt pull of the blackstar...they all repeat the same crap...clearly we have multiple user names at work here

No you are wrong and I am correct, I said that the BlackStar had a bigger gram per watt ratio.... Lets do the math:

His Blackstar yielded 50 grams & his Spectra yielded 74 grams.... The grower tested both panel's watts with pic of a meter: The blackstar runs at 133 watts & the Spectra runs at 245 watts, now just divide the grams into the watts which gives you:

Blackstar @ 133 actual watts = .37 grams per watt
Spectra 240 @ 245 actual watts = .30 grams per watt

Now feel free to prove me wrong, Blackstar has a higher gram per watt ratio and this is why using multiple panels will shine! And lets not forget that the Spectra is running double the fans making it even less efficient. Now this was a shity grow in my opinion for both panels but it was a controlled grow experiment with both panels growing the same strains under the same environment. This proves just how overrated expensive panels can be when if you use multiple Blackstars you may end up surpassing at less watts and less investment.

Let me also add that it is easy to assume if that grower had 2 - Blackstar 240w panels to better even the watts of each grow the Blackstars would have had more coverage and many grams more... again this is how they work well is in pairs or groups, their efficiency is proven above.
