Leaves and stems changing color

Hey guys,

I have a problem with my plants. The new growth is coming in a little skinnier than normal and some of the stems on the fan leaves are purple The plants are 4 weeks into veg in a scrog. They are under a 400w mh (24" from screen) with ocean forest soil. The strain is GDP. They were getting 1tbsp of tomato food per gallon (the recomended dose.) I already flushed them with water. Did I do the right thing? Are there more steps that I can take to heal the plant? Should i switch nutes?
Sorry for the bad quality, I took these with my phone.
Thanks,

tomato ferts are generally for flowering cycles not so much as veg.
look for something with a high nitrogen content for the vegetative period.

maybe even some mg deficiency perhaps.

whats the npk of those nutes?prob lacking N or too much
also looks like u have heat problems

the npk is 18 18 21. How would i fix the nute problem? did i do the right thing? As for the heat problem, here is a picture of my overall grow. The light is 24" from the screen and there are two fans passing air over the screen and a duct bringing in some cool air. Its still not the coldest of places though. Should i change anything? maybe raise the light nore?

put ur hand over ur plants for a min
if its too hot for ur hand then its too hot for ur plants
u should switch nutes
try something like 10-7-8 for veg

So i made a few air circulation changes. I added a honeywell fan blowing out and 2 4" exhaust ducts with HTG supply fans. How about fox farms grow big or what ever their veg nutrients is called

EDIT: I also did the hand test and it was fine, I also raised the light by one chain link.

Thanks alot for helping me out btw

Alright very good they will get better. Use other nutes, And before using them I'd advise flushing your plants and use just straight water. Also, What kind of water are you using? Use some tap water, Or poland spring water, Or something along those lines. And if you use tap water, Let sit out for 24-48 hours. Should be good. Looks like a N deficiency. Good luck, And happy growing > Your girls should be better in no time =]
