Thanks everyone for your input.
I will ph the water to the required ph. We are having a real problem with humidity at the moment in NZ ,raining for 3 weeks and its summer.
I can’t find calacitic lime but I believe this is it, can someone’s elaborate

I think next time I’ll leave the peat moss out. I have also purchased a dehumidifier to help with humidity, and waiting to get more predators for the thrips. I was recommended to get two types from the people that breed them

hopefully this won’t take too long , I’ll most probably be in week 8 veg, before there ready to flip.
Thanks again everyone for your guidance.
Yes, thats Calcitic Lime.

Add 1oz of Calcitic Lime, and Half Oz od Dolomitic Lime for each gallon of peat.

Id still use peat next time, just add perlite, and vermiculite, Mycorrhizae and the 2 different limes. Peat is a very good medium. Some of the best products for medium on the market are peat based.

And if you can get this, use it as a wetting agent.

Ok mate, thanks for that. The lime won’t be here till next week.would I water the lime in or top dress it. And for the aquagro, I cannot find it online in NZ. Would pumice not do the job, as perlite over here is quite expensive.

Fellow growers, I have been trying to figure this out. All plants have leaf curl.

3x3
300w at 60% 1.2 metres from canopy
26.1 degrees 76%humidity lights on.

ewc ,compost, pumice,DE ,bokashi,2row malted barley,peat moss,aloe powder.
20l containers.
4 weeks veg.
White stuff on plants is DE for pest management.
no ph during watering.

What do you think could be the problem.had this for abt 2 weeks.

It might be thrips

Thanks for the input, the reason it looks dirty is because I sprayed DE everywhere to kill any bugs from getting on and near my plants. Heat and light stress I could eliminate as my problem, because I’ve turned it rite down and my temps are in the ideal range now.
It’s a hard to say about over fert, as the soil went through my worm bin for awhile(there’s no chemicals just organic). I’m still learning loads , so not saying anyone is wrong.
It’s process of elimination.

That's the white stuff on the leaf they all effect the plant in different ways but relatively almost all of them will leave that white film it's usually common now

Thrips would leave marks on your leaves quick. You'll know if you get them.
Yes I know all about those bloody things, and there’s no thrips there yet. There way more damaging than knats , that’s for sure.I could rinse the DE off with water soon and reapply.

It’s the ph for these ladies. that’s all I’ve changed ,and their slowly cmn bak. I didn’t change light intensity and the leaf tips aren’t burnt( over fert). The heat has been roughly the same.

I use Gnatrol, it is a fine powder that you mix with water. Extremely effective in veg and early flower by spraying the leaves and saturating the soil

Thanks bro, would this be what your talking about
If it is I could also give it a try.
Close to the same thing. Just google it.
I’ve also covered the surface of my soil and drainage holes with playground sand. Gnats hate it! I’ve went from hundreds of gnats to just a handful in less than a week. Amazon also sells huge yellow sticky boards. I think they are4”x8”. The gnats love the color and fly right to it.

Holy shit. Get that shit off the leaves for one thing.

And what's your water source like?

It’s just DE bro, I’ve stopped using it nw. I’ve being ph’ing 6.0 tap water.and added calacitic lime. They seem to be getting better. Beuveria bassiana (bb)has also been added for bugs. I did google it and this is all I could find in newzealand, the knats are hopefully getting the treatment from the bb.

I'd cut out the lime since your water sounds like it already has plenty.
