not a problem BC... very glad to share the knowledge i have...

i try to stay as mellow as possible.. it takes a lot to work me up.. whats a stoner if not mellow bongsmilie

so yes, 7.5 is bit high for soil.. i would personally use with sulphur, aluminum sulfate, or a soild acidifier like this http://www.planetnatural.com/site/chelated-iron.html

regardless of which you choose try to adjust your ph slowly... its better and easier to continue to lower than to over do it... if you can get it down to around 7.0 or a little less that will be plenty sufficient...

post count.. thats it.. just gotta keep posting.. bongsmilie

aerogardens are nice... they offer very fast growth... great results... and are fairly simple to operate...

the down side is there are minor adjustments that need to be made.... parts of the "puzzle" that may fail... and takes a little more attention to get started.. but once you get it up and going its easy...

with it being hydro you have to watch ph and ppm much more closely... to much nutes will cause burning really quickly... the wrong ph and you'll suffer bad lock out...

you always have to adjust the feeding lengths.. which means watching your plants for signs of over and under watering...

in my experience i am happy i started with soil and to hydro.. soil is more forgiving in that the soil acts as a buffer zone.. so nute burn or deficiencies, over and under watering, things like that, take a little longer to affect the plant.. which means you have more time to figure and diagnos the problem before it really becomes a problem.. with hydro that reaction time is drastically reduced...

now im not in any way trying to shy you away from starting with aero... im just warning you that if you do start with hydro it will take a little more "fine tuning" than dirt will.. which could lead to frustrations.. i, of course, will be more than happy to offer any help i can either way...
Man you are awesome!!!! Just started my grow with the aerogarden ultra led and you have helped thank you!!! Have 2 plants in there now from bag seed for practice...can not tell sex yet so will see. Looking good right now ph is around 6.0 also have 1 in 3 gal bucket which I beleive is female and put her into flowering about 2 wks. Ago she is looking great. Maybe take a pic for you to see?

yes and no......

in some situation there is not such a thing as root binding... in hydro applications, aero applications, and applications where there is a drip feed, it makes it possible for the plant to get everything it needs without having to have a huge root system... both water and nute wise... the operator of these types of systems can get the same results with a smaller pot size as other growers with larger pots..

usually with soil bigger is better.. the more space the roots have the more water and nutes it can absorb... its hard to keep soil wet enough to give the plant as much as it can use without risking problems like root rot in smaller pots... so larger pots tend to work better....

make sense at all??

no prob... glad to help.. enjoy your harvest!
Sammy you are the balls!!!! Where do u find the time for this is beyond belief. Do u not sleep?new grower in the aerogarden ultra led growing 2 plants now only a 1.2 gal. Resevoir so I beleive 2 is ok. What do u think? Using the flora series for notes..so far so good. I am forcing into flowering so as to keep short. Also how do you find your responses here when we ask questions like these. Back to the forum and just search for them? Kind of confused on this

Hi. new member need some help! This plants had some issues early on but came on strong in late veg........ 2 weeks into flower i went to move her and about 2 feet from the top she snapped to a 90 degree angle, i have splinted the break for 36 hours and just revoved it! She now has full stability to hold foliage above the break point My concern is the leaves have wilted and flopped right down on top yet the bud stems still point up with some droop at the bud sites but not the stem!

Will she come back? What steps should i take? Also should she be under light or is this contributing to stress now?

All help greatly appreciated

I may add growing indoor in soil 400w light
