I scored these clones from a friend working for a grower, he tells me they both come from strong Purple striains but i haven't looked up the genetics. I've had 4 successful grows with CFL's but now I'm considering investing in an HID setup for my incompletely modified Rubbermaid cabinet. Which is 16''D x 36"H x 36"T=4 sq.ft.

Currently they're chill'n in my room with a big piece of cardboard blocking light for the rest of the room. They've got 2x23w and 3x26w 65k's and 1x26w 27k bulbs 10900 lumens on them in an area just over 1sq.ft. with mylar and white paint surrounding them.

As soon as i finish the box then i'm gonna make the big decision of whether to switch or stick with what i know.

I'm an all organic grower so that i put good in, i get get good out. I grow all soil, Whitney Farms Uncle Malcoms All Organic. I just bought this new starter kit of all organic Vegan based nutes from this new hydro shop in town. So I'm looking forward to seeing how differently the 2 different organic nutes of past grows will fare against the new stuff.

Tho I need help with these 2 ladies cuz they both keep getting deficient in something and i can't figure out what it is. Tho all grows of the past were with strains suited for easy growing with little problems. Untill i got the new set of nute i had been giving them the same Organicare Veging nutes till i ran out but the off color leaves kept creeping up and killing them off.

Anyone with experience with either strain i could sure used some info

Things are still a tiny bit sketchy. They began looking low on N so i fed'em the Grow nutes(4-3-3) tho the off colored edges continue and some lower leaves have gone almost white.

If anyone who's grown either strains i could use some pointers...i just don't know what they're lacking or possibly burning on...

After the little bout with nute burn I flushed 3 times this last week. Things have improved and now looked hungry for some N. Using only the "light feeding" instructions on the bottle i gave'em 2tsp of my new nutes. I know some ppl go thru this when switching up nute from what they've known and trusted.

Pics: Kryptonite(right) Cherry Kush(left) :weed:

Also to tag along on the grow, making up for only a small portion of my recent loss of 2 3-4ft outdoor beauties, I popped my last 3 Short Rider Autoflowers tho 1 didn't make it. Last grow yielded about 1 oz per plant which only got 1ft by clipping time. The 2 are currently in party cups till they grow :leaf:

After i'm certain i've fixed my over use of nutes i will be LSTing the 2 to maximize bud sites and keep from over growing my unfinished cabinet,...again lol

Fed them both for the 1st time since the nute burn with only 1tsp to a half gallon. They seem to be responding to it but i sure could use some feedback from ya'll out there in RIU

As for the other 2 they're still on straight water at least till i transplant them to their next larger pots. Since they're auto's i've been sticking them on my porch durring the day and inside under the 24 hr veg area with the clones

After what is another nute burning with my new nutes I've flushed them 2 more times since the 1 feeding between the last 3 flushes dealing with the 1 burn. I'm a little buzzed right now and probly not making much sence haha! More pics coming in a couple days

Clearly still haven't gotten the right ratio on the new nute but after yet another 3 flushes they're looking better. Sadly i lost a whole branch on the Kryptonite. Saves a single leaf to potentioally clone but all prior attempts have failed so i'm waiting to see of it takes...

As for the 2 Auto's 1 has already began growing hairs. Thankfully they're twice as tall as my last batch of them. Maybe cuz i've had'em under veg lighting.

I forgot to mention i transplanted them both to these 6" nursery pots i had. Sadly I ran out of the WF Organic soil but i had some Hyponex potting soil that i slightly ammended with 1 cup of vermiculite. Thankfull hyponex is the "non" miracle gro soil, since MG makes it tho they don't put any of the time release nutes in it so i've managed to stay organic in the absence of my good soil.

God dam it! I feel like such a newbie with both these clones. Everything I know has been of no help with when it comes to these 2.

Timeline:
-3.5 weeks ago I flushed 3 times in 5 days. 3 days after the last flushing they both were looking hungry for nitrogen. Giving them 1 tsp of veg nutes and I get fert burn
-2 weeks ago i flush 3 more time over 5 days. Figuring it was the new nutes an me being unfamiliar with the right ratio i switched back to the last 1/2-3/4 tsp of Organicare veg nutes i had. Yet somehow I managed to burn them even with my old stuff.
-Ever since then I've done nothing but give them a decent watering every 3 day with no food. Now that they both seem to have stopped burning everywhere and now are getting light green I fed them 1/4 tsp of the new nutes.......only time will tell. It better work tho cuz there aren't many leafs left, if it doesn't I'm just gonna trash'em both and pop some Kaya Gold seeds I have from my other grow and start over.

A few updates. After all my fight with the leaves rotting out from god knows what, I figures transplanting would be a smart thing to do. Introducing fresh soil to my outdoor tomatoes has alway seemed to work things out naturally, either cuz of ph shift, low nutrience in the soil, or even benificial bacteria/microbes and enzymes seem to do the trick. This time it seems to have done it again :) Put the clones into 2.5gal bucket and the SR's in the pots the clones were in.

The Ace Hardware I was getting my Whitney Farms soil for some reason stopped carrying it so I went to my local hydro shop and got FF Happy Frog potting that i cut with 1/4 vermiculite to lighten it and help with water retention. I always used B1 when i transplant and everything seems to be coming back, no more leaves dropping and turning color and a lot of lush green on the newest growth.

Now its been over a week since i transplated all 4 plants. Both of the clones had been doing great with lush fat new green leafs. But now I can see their roots have really exploded cuz you can now see then coming out the drainage holes. In the last 3 days both clones started getting their necrotic leafs again, I know it can't be caused by root round again cuz I tipped and pulled out the soil ball and there's only roots reaching out the bottem, there's not hardly anything coming from the sides yet. So here I am again back at square 1. As you can see from the pics the tops of both are nice and green but the lower growth is all starting to go south...again... Strangely enough both the Short Riders are having a issue too. Been giving them them a very mild ratio of the flowering nutes(about 1/8 ratio) which is why I don't get why they're turning yellow...

I REALLY NEED HELP FROM 1 OF YOU R.U.I. PRO'S OUT THERE PLEASE! I hate bribing with reps but if thats what it'll take.

To recap on whats going on. About 2 weeks ago I talked with a guy at my local hydro shop, I told him I was having problems with my tomatos. Received the clones in a soilless meduim which I transplanted using good organic Whitney Farms potting soil which i added 1-4 ratio of vermiculite-soil to help retain water a little longer as I always have. Later ran out of WF and the store I was buying it from cancled it so I used some basic Hyponex potting soil. Everything seemed fine except the hyponex shifted the ph a little so I added 1/4 tsp of soil sulfur to the top and watered. At this pint I had also been using Organicare nutes and ran out. Not having enough to re-up on Organicare I went for a new starter box of nute from General Organics(Go-Box). Ever since the switch I've had endless problems with the leafs losing green pigment then drying up and dying or these dark spots just appear all over the leaf and then it goes necrotic and gradually crumbles off. As of last week I transplanted to 2.5gal bucket with holes drilled for drainage using FoxFarm Happy Frog mix with yet again a 1-4 ratio of vermiculite. The consistant ph is 6.4 and I water about every 3 days with nutes every 3rd watering(or only as needed), temps average 70-80 lately since winter has been helping me keep the room nice and cool and ventilated.

With thanks to a thread I started asking the pro's whats been up with the spotty leafs that eventually die. Most suggested it was a mildew or fungi so I went and got both Safer neem oil and Seven fungicide, covering both organic and chemical treatments. Thankfully the Short Riders are just about finished as their hairs are about 40% amber and I'm not that worried if whatever fungi I'm dealing with.

Very good news. The disease/fungi control is working. I had to use the Seven fungicide the 1st day and over night it really had shown so every since then every other day now I've been misting the neem oil and there is now so much fresh growth. Sadly I can't upload pics right now, my copm crashed very hard the other day. After a friend rebuilt and expanded memory and the bad component. Having to wipe the comp and start fresh its sooo much faster tho lost all my now outdated programs from Nikon I can't upload a thing till I call tomorrow durring "business hours"

Some new recruits joining the ranks. On saturday Nirvana seeds had a great sale on the Jock Horror autoflower's almost half off special :D these will be going outside behind the doghouse in my side yard to prevent another theft of plants like my last outdoor grow

As for everything else the Kryptonite is doing better. Squeezed the buds on my 2 SR auto's and realized I should've had my lights a bit closed cuz 1 had hard tight nugs and the other a bit springy to the touch. But regardless, I'm happy I got'em both to grow twice as big as the 1st I grew this year. I've noticed the auto's seem to grow to suit their envirnment. So to those out there growing auto's be sure to plant them in pots way larger than you normally would for a normal(non-auto) grows. I plan on starting the Jock's in my usual 16 oz party cups but then to the 8'(about 1 gallon) and then to my 2.5 gal buckets to finish

Construction started today on my new stealth cab dresser. Went to HD for a sheet of plywood, high gloss white paint, and hinges. Also now including 3x68W 27K 4200 lumens each(to join my last 65W from my last flowering cycle), 2x17W 24" T8 7800K grow bulbs(to mount vertically along side the plant), and 3 porcelin sockets to hold these big bulbs. Also thinking ahead knowing the 5 gal buckets I usually would transplant to next, I got a 10 gal storage tote that's the same height the 2.5 gal's I currently have in use SO that I don't increase plant height in the limited space.

Started by lightly sanding and painting the inside with 2 coats, tomorrow I'm putting at least 1 more for good measure. The next day I'll be finishing up by drilling pilot holes and putting it all together. I plan to make a DIY carbon filter I saw here(RIU) using walmart pencil cups and aquarium charcoal. Though I went to 2 walmarts here and they don't have the charcoal anymore....I can still buy it at pet stores still right? Petsmart, PetCo...
