The kingbite I imagine is a Samsung lm301b based light and should offer better efficiency than the citizen 1212 light, unless the 1212 cob set up is running incredibly soft which I doubt.

Cobkits did a test if I recall, of QB v cobs. I can't find it at the moment.
Personally, I'd use the QBs for an easy build.
