DOJ will resist Jim Jordan's subpoenas prying into criminal investigation of the insurrection

Most will recall when Congressman Jim Jordan was asked about whether he talked with then-presidents Donald Trump on the morning of the insurrection, he mumbled and fumbled and yammered and stammered his way though an non-answer, pretending he couldn't recall. Thereafter, his phone records showed he did, in fact, talked with Trump for a full 10 minutes on the morning of the Trump-launched attack on the US Capitol designed to stop the certification of Joe Biden's election win. After that call (that Jordan ultimately denied), Jordan took to the floor of the House and objected to the certification of Joe Biden's win.

Now, Jordan is heading up a committee that many are calling the 'obstruction of justice committee.' Jordan thinks he can issue subpoenas designed to pry into the DOJ criminal investigation of the insurrection, an investigation that, of necessity, must involve scrutiny of the four members of Congress who criminally defied congressional subpoenas in their determination not to testify about Trump's crimes. Jordan is one of the representatives who defied a congressional subpoena.

Well now, DOJ is indicating that it is not likely to comply with Jordan's subpoenas that would comprise an ongoing criminal investigation.

That and the legal shit many will be in in 2023 or 2024, we've seen enough publicly for many republicans in the house and a few in the senate to be Jack's eventual targets. After he accumulates all the other rats in suits who need to make any deal they can. Donald going down first and fast over the docs and obstruction will be like a shock and awe attack opening a war on the magats and should stun a few. A big part of the Teflon Don's appeal was his mystic of invulnerability that was somewhat contagious among some of his followers. That is about to be exploded into a terrific shit storm as kingpin Donald goes down before anybody important, or even in a suit, is ever indicted over J6.

Oh they will indict him alright, but in six months or a year, one must be cautious! Actually I figure he will be talking to the FBI, once the have assembled a chronology and biography of him and know all the answers before they ask him the questions. Then there is the grand jury, which should not take long to deliver several indictments. I think with this guy a month or two at the most before indictment and the republicans will pay for his lawyer to delay his conviction as much as possible so he can still vote in the house, he can't vote from prison, but Kevin could change the rules to allow it!
