He came to me and asked for help when he was a kitten. It was 30 below in SD. He was the coolest cat I've ever known. He loved everyone including some dogs, but hated other cats. People that don't even like cats liked him.
He had an awesome life though. 18 years old is damn good for an indoor/outdoor cat.

Wow, that is a good life, but it's never easy when you lose a friend you've had that long. We ended up with all of ours kind of the same way. Sad story feral cats needing help. It's cool you took him in and had such a great life with him.
