He did what he did out of supposed reach of the "authorities" that he committed his crimes against....in this case the us...I think you guys have to realise that us mere mortals don't like to see the USA as the worlds policeman...We have our own laws and shit to deal with without worrying whether we are offending someone thousands of miles away and risk being basically abducted and forced to appear in front of a judge who in any other circumstance would have no bearing on our lives...
It's mad that a guy can go to jail for exposing bad shit..none of us no matter what side we are on should applaud the treatment frequently mettled out to whistle-blowers. The powerful got caught with their pants down....suck it up as you guys would say -We in the UK have plenty to moan about regarding our own ruling elites...
For the record - for the blood thirsty out there - there is zero chance of the UK handing him over until the USA guarantees he will not face the death penalty...Our lot don't do killing citizens so we can't extradite to countries unless they agree with our own laws regarding shit like this.
As an aside I say this as a Scottish bloke who has visited the USA once....yep Disneyland Florida. Found 90% of you to be great and 100 % of you somewhat welcoming..positive experiences with the 90% for sure. You all have super teeth and assistants cant do enough for you....Great place and people from the tiny bit I saw. Yeah, I heard that people in the UK have awful dental health. For some reason, bad breath, rotten gums and dentures are a source of pride. I'm guessing it's a self destructive reaction to your problems with classism. We have similar problems here except for us, it is education. A large portion of our population don't value language and math skills here. Kids who study and do well academically tend to be shunned in school. I'd rather that we have your problem with bad teeth.
The rest of your post makes no sense. Our extradition treaty requires that he may only be tried on the charges we list in our extradition request. As you say, his extradition to the US would be for helping Manning crack a password. According to news reports, five years is the maximum for that offense, not capital punishment, lol. He might get a check too but not the kind you suggest.
I heard today that he will probably go to Sweden first to face charges of rape. That makes sense to me. It will also probably keep him out of the US for the remaining months that Trump will be prez. So it's all good.
