Obviously the only people that CAN consent are those who HAVE and are CAPABLE of giving consent. That age is not constant, but generally speaking the older an individual is, the more likely they will have attained the wherewithal to consent.

If the age of majority is 16 in one state, (plantation) but is 17 or 18 etc. on another plantation, the law doesn't magically deny or confer the individuals ability to consent, if they move from one place to another

Next you'll be saying that you can legislate gravity.

He's fucked. The U.S. unsealed his indictment the moment he was arrested and filed an extradition order.

In a press release, the Department of Justice said that the indictment, signed on March 6 last year and unsealed Thursday, alleges Assange conspired "to assist Manning in cracking a password" on classified Department of Defense computer systems.

There goes the next 10 years of his life, minimum.

Manning got his sentence commuted, maybe Assange can to. Interesting how Assange has pissed off both political parties. He must be doing something right.
