I've been really pleased with the results I've got form my female seeds C99. The pheno I have running isn't the one I wanted to keep, but still really nice so I do :). The one I wanted to keep was what I used for my Sinmint cross. You can test a few of those out if you'd like to man, just let me know.

That must be a crazy cross TC and a generous offer!
Do you have a thread or grow of this cross yet?

Amazing line-up Hydro. There are several there I would
follow along to see all alone.

Thanks Shwag! LOL, I never complained about my slow babies,
but I really do like this trick. I need to look back in the
thread, as I posted when I put them in there....but the effect
was almost immediate...like one, maybe two, weeks. (LOL, I am
waiting longer than that for roots in the clones)

I've posted pics of the parents on my thread. I will do an update with the parents pics and the fresh seed. I only harvested the seeds about a month or so ago, I still gotta do a final sort. None of its been tested yet though. I've got good hopes though from the parents, the dad was very vigerous, with good branch strength and started flowering fast. The mom was the more compact C99 pheno. Smelled super fruity, didn't stretch much, and the smoke was amazing. I'm looking forward to getting some of these new beans started. With going out of town in a few weeks I decided to just wait till I get back, then I'm gonna put 5-10 of them in and see what they do.

That is the natural progression I think. Grow plants, find moderate success. Find you enjoy growing
as much or more as consuming. Develop the need to take cannabis through the entire life cycle.

It is a worthy goal.

For me it has always been about the safe collection of the pollen.

I wanted to get the sploog from my first male...a Cannaventure PurpleBerry
that was soooo strong and stinky. I just had zero options for where to
flower it.

I need to set up a small tent in the garage, but would prefer to
HEPA filter it even then.

I also need to work to optimize the longevity of my taken pollen, as
it seems to have a window of viability that can be on the narrow side.

I might put a few plants outdoors this season....I am thinking about
using some panda film to screen off an area (open top).

I started my males flowering in my regular room, then moved them to the other end of the house, and up 2 stories to my bedroom. I put it into a paper bag with a cfl over the top. The bag kept air from blowing any loose pollen around, and collected any that fell. Once it was flowering well and dropping pollen I just took my female in there and rubber her all over it. I had tried collecting some as well, but I ended up tossing it cus it hadn't been stored right and I figured it was no good.

Seems like some males smell prettier than the females. It'd be nice to not worry about smell...ie in the car, shopping, walking dog by donut shop, coming home late from 'work project'.

Wjay I do is pick the first bananas just before they open and drop them in a test tube on top of a little dry flour. Pit then some place safe, usually next day they are open. Seal test tube. Shake and store in fridge. It will look like dry flour but there is enough pollen there to go a mile. It will last a few weeks this way. Use a paintbrush to paint a branch and get tons of beans :)

BTW: I am getting the impression that of the upcoming plants
that the Holy Grail Kush is really taking off.

For all it's slow and finicky start, it is really looking good:

So, while feeding the ladies tonight, I gave a good look at the
Cheese Surprise.

Keep in mind that this baby was crisped a tad by the Kapow! but you
can see that it is indeed well along, but not quite there yet.

I will wait a couple days, flush it, and then let it dry. I will take it at the end of Week #9.

Yum. :0)

I will post again on dealing with the Veg line-up. Blue Pit has joined the stable
and I will be making it's hempy today.
