Javadog's Next Adventure

Hello all,

We are in the third week of the new Crop and not too much to report.

I finally got all of the previous Crop into the jars. Such deliciousness.
None of the breeds was disappointing. The structure and growth style
of some of the breeds was better than others. i.e. LA Con was lovely,
if a bit short, and SWOG Kush and Headband were about perfect.
(and then there was the amazing PurpleBerry, but that was a freak ;0)

I took out all of the Vegging plants today, the newest generation from
the clone table and the one before it from the Veg closet, and I fed and
watered them all.

I took the time to take a quick shot of each one.

This post will be the older generation, and the next the younger.

Skunk #1:
Skunk#1.jpg

The Dog:
TheDog.jpg
This one looks to be male. I want to collect this pollen!

Super Lemon Haze:
SuperLemonHaze.jpg
This one is ugly, lanky, and mutant. I will likely try training a
clone as this one is already gone. :0)

Sour Kosher:
SourKosher.jpg
This female looks to be a candidate for the next Crop. I need to compute it's
likely final height. Some training might be necessary.

Sour Cherry:
SourCherry1.jpg
I have popped two of these, and two Pycho Killers. I want to taste these BB gems!

Smelly Cherry:
SmellyCherry.jpg
See above :0)

Shark Tooth:
SharkTooth.jpg
This was a "second shelf" clone that was given to me by a friend,
along with the top shelf Girl Scout Cookies currently in the tent.
I am not if/when I will flower this one.

Purple Wreck:
PurpleWreck.jpg
This breed is a freekazoid. It is a very slow grower and I am
certain that I need to adjust it's pH or nute schedule. There
is another plant, next generation, that is even worse. We might
be able to hash something out for that plant.

Psycho Killer:
PsychoKiller1.jpg
Beautiful! Definitely in the next crop.

Martian Kush:
MartianKush.jpg
(keep in mind that these were thirsty....they have already bounced back ;0)

Jack's Cleaner 2:
JacksCleaner2.jpg
This plant has lovely structure, but I am afraid that it is male also.
I want this pollen also!

Cheese Surprise:
CheeseSurprise.jpg
This was the first, and only so far, regular seed to show female.
It will likely make the next Crop.

Trainwreck:
Trainwreck1.jpg

LOL, I have many things to figure out how best to approach
the next Crop, as it may depend on which plants are big enough
but not too bug.

i.e. some of the prettiest plants (i.e. Cheese Surprise) may well
need to be chopped or cloned for a future crop by getting too big
to survive the stretch. It is way too big to mainline at this point.

....and I cannot fit everything in 5 gallon buckets!

Take care all,

JD

Just want everyone to know that if I am not
posting then it is because of the fucked up
security question.

It switched to a alphabetical formula, and I just
failed three times in a row to correctly enter
the damned thing.

Sounds awesome bull! Watch the train wrecks height...Can be unruly..and the strawberries don't like to much water...easy to shock and drown . Imo.. keep up the good work man! Do which one melts your face the most?

Thats a nice selection you have there.
I have been thinking about both those cherry strains myself, and I have some Cheese surprise beans that are old and I am gonna try to pop em soon as well.

Thank you both for taking the time.

I think that I like SWOG the most so far, for the skunky flavor.
The LA Confidential is really exotic, flavor and buzz. I like it a lot.
The rest all fall into the same delicious Kush group. I am not knocking
them in choosing SWOG. ....I might change to one of the newer ones. :0)
(the Kosher Kush samples were strong!)

Here are the youngest generation, that I said I would post.

I want to try AoS for mainlining, and it looks to have a solid trunk!

Plushberry is my type of smoke as well, and still on my to get list.

LOL, now I need to start figuring out how I am going to
position plants to start flowering in around six weeks or so.

I am thinking that there are several that I will need to consider
moms, and take clones from them, as they will be too large
for my tent by then.

I am beginning to think that it is SOG time again. This will
give me 25 slots to fill. I will need to start taking the clones
soon, but have plenty of slots free in the seed tray.

The primary issue is when I move them to them final pots
which will be 2 gallon smart pots.

I know that I cannot light all of them together with all the mothers.

I might have to move them into the tent as space frees up, using
a table, as the lights will be high.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Without the fear of light leaks, this is an option.

Thank you for the idea.

I am also looking at the fact that I have males to deal with.

I think that I am going to buy a second tent for the garage.

I am out of control!

My garage has a diy tent 4x8.
I used 2x4s and pandafilm (black/white poly) and my staple gun
$50 in parts or less I think

My fear is that any pollen would have been moistened by dew if not rain.

I am working on this.

I am out to uncover and check on the boys

They are fine and both have purpled but in diff shades and smells.
Leaves on both have remained dark green, just purple from the inside out

Good luck! Are you concerned about moisture. This is a new area to me. We just read "water kills pollen" but not how fast? Will very high humidity have the same effect? How high? For how long of exposure? ....that sort of stuff. If you find a tidbit, then please post a link here. Thanks Bass JD

OK, that was one of my posts with the White-space stripped out.

It should have looked like this:

P.S. I need to mentally forgive all the posters whose posts I have
silently cursed for being one indigestible paragraph. :0)

I did notice the top bud-like part looked weird on one of them, but the rest havent changed or opened yet.
I will be putting a fem or 2 outside with them soon, or collecting the pollen somehow and inseminate them

On another note, my rogue tomato plant has held on strong..... till last night that is.
She/it is all wilted and lying down now.
