I would like to try your BC, I to love those plants that just wanna grow. Remind me again, what did she taste like? All the BC I have grown has been a great high though, very couch lock very pain killer. If my current BC seedling is a good grower but not my flavor I probably won't kill her off

wouldnt it taste like a blue cheese muffin? all the Bc i smoked (thats what everyone sells) is cheesy and sometimes,,,abit fruity,,,,,,sounds like a good hunt though,,,

yea I suppose thats really what I mean is a danish. I have had it before, where it tastes like your eating a breakfast pastry. And that's what I want in my flower tent. Dlopez has the same phenotype I am looking for if you wanna see how it looks lol. He doesn't know the breeder on it though.

I am a big guy since I can't do most cardio exercises, so if I can cut out a munchie food because I can smoke something that will give me the taste, that's a win for me lol.

Hello all,

Well, I am at Day 27 of flowering. Yes, week #4 ends tomorrow.

The ladies are doing very well, but I am nowhere near having to
worry about the weight of tops yet. C'mon! :0)

I am in the feeding schedule, using Botanicaire ProBlend, Cal-Mag, Silica Blast,
Liquid Karma, with Big Bud and B-52 added.

I also give them a liter or so of a compost tea that I brew that includes the
standard professional tea starter compost organisms plus a myco additive
(think Great White Shark) and a few Tablespoons of Plantone (not for its
nutes but for the bacterial colonies that it incorporates). This tea is designed
to be low in nutrients when it is done brewing.

I brew my tea in 30 gallon batches and use it for the garden too. I will
post some garden shots, with the tea maker running, later.

Here are some shots of the ladies tonight.

LA Confidential is doing something really cool in the back corner. It really

PurpleBerry is a back-cross from Cannaventure that was reworked as a
"this is your last chance" sort of deal, but it has been a very weak breed
for me so far....exotic, but small.

what are you growing in your garden? Always wanted an organic garden with some vegtables & spices.

LOL, I hit gardening with my new skills, and started everything I could
get my hands on...from seed!

This is crazy when some herbs the seeds of which are like freakin' smoke particles.

Some are still practically embryonic in the rooter trays (i.e. Alpine Strawberry ;0)

I have grown or am growing about six squash/cuke and about the same number
of melons, every Brasica, three lettuces, on and on and on. This year. LOL

It has been fun and we are eating the result. My family is getting introduced to
many new things. We had Swiss Chard for the first time tonight. It is amazing
when freshly picked.

The Jalepenos are rocking...but the Anaheims are already eaten :0)

The Kale is probably the biggest hit with the wifey...it is very trendy. Ugh. :0)

You're into teas huh? I thought this was a hydro run. I must've missed something lol...

PLEASE come join us organic heads on this thread mate, ignore the 'total noob' bit in the title, these guys are masters of their arts. The pic I posted of the Dream Beaver in week 5 had ZERO nutes fed to it. Here's another plant, so far absolutely nothing but pure water added, just True Organic Living Soil, not even one tea:



Anyhow, some comments on your brewer:

35 gallons is quite big. That air-stone isn't doing much, and I think you need to get a better vortex going also. 'Compost Tea' is more accurately microbe extraction and multiplication. And remember it's the aerobic bacteria that you want.

I quote Microbeman in this part, he had it under a heading 'common myths' in an article on ACT:

One can make good ACT with an aquarium pump in 5 gallons of water.

We did almost a year straight of research (at a cost of thousands of dollars) building almost every conceivable compost tea brewer design and size, ranging from 1 to 1200 gallons. These included every type itemized on my webpage in the design section and more. We measured the dissolved oxygen (DO2) religiously at all hours of day and night, eliminating configurations which failed to maintain the DO2 at or above 6 PPM. This is close to the minimum level required to support aerobic organisms.


The outcome of this research was, the estimation, that the minimum flow required from an air pump to make compost tea while maintaining the DO2 at 6 PPM, is 0.05 CFM per gallon while the optimum flow is 0.08 CFM per gallon or greater. (the only exception was when utilizing airlifts)

This means that most aquarium pumps will not work with a 5 gallon ACT maker (to maintain 6 PPM DO2), no matter what a couple of guys from Texas say. Two gallons, perhaps.

It's a BADASS thread. If you are interested in having an organic garden that kicks hydro's balls right up it's neck, read through the entire thread. I'm just testing my second generation soil, and all I can say is HOLY BALLS. Never seen plants go like this.

Only instrument worth using to test anything but proven methods is a microscope. Smell alone can be misleading. It takes a good while for anaerobic bacteria to produce the ammonia that would cause a bad smell. Not knocking you here don't get me wrong bro, you seem like the kind of fella that enjoys tweaking something till it's 100 percent. So if ACT interests you, might as well come hang out with the Tea Heads for a little while. Good people, and they'll all enjoy seeing your gardens, both of them.

Also not pretending to 'know better' at all brother, just seeing a space for improvement. I pretty much stick to the organic forums so most of the guys I know are running ROLS using teas and zero bottled nutes. Fascinating stuff, some of these guys are really next-level.

ACT is just one of those things that when it goes wrong, it goes VERY wrong. Wreaking absolute havoc on pH and such. I used some in a DTW hydro setup and ended up having to flush for ages after it dropped my pH to 4.0. Hydro and teas don't mix, ouch, that was a rough lesson.

No worries. I appreciate the time.

FWIW, I expect that my air-stone, though not small,
and powered by a mid-sized pump, is not adding O2
as well as the waterfall does. I am using a strong pump to
raise the water 2-3 feet over the surface and quite a good
splash and foam results. (wife complains...tough! ;0)

* A funny story: I order a pH meter, a good one, online and
was sent a TDO meter. Well, I let them know....and *then* saw
that I had got a meter kit worth several $100 more than the pH
kit that I ordered. I just waited to see what they would say.
LOL....they never responded. I just bought the pH pen I wanted
and now have both.

Hello all,

I had a couple of small clones that insisted on flowering, and so I stuck them
in the back yard. This was possible because my backyard is a jungle of container
plants.

They did not grow much, but it was fun to see them there.









As you can see, everything living in the garden screwed with these babies
in one fashion or the other.
