I am here to report that I did not sit idle and wonder about proper Vegging.

I took the simple step of purchasing a new lamp and attaching it to the underside
of a table in the man-cave. This was a previous arrangement, as I used it to fruit
mushroom fruiting chambers under 6500K T-8s.

I made the change to 56W HOT5 T5 bulbs and bought a two bulb lamp and
two bulbs. (downside:4100K was the best I could get. I will order 6500K bulbs)

It is a full length fixture:


It holds all sprouts and clones:


...and now the Veg closet is pretty much available for growing out plants to larger sizes:

Very nice man! Now just gotta make that big area not look so empty! Grow rooms always look so depressing when theres no green bitches in there!

If you want, you can probably pull that cover off the bulbs just so its not cutting down any lumens. t5s don't get to hot, I have had plants grow into them and not get burned.

nice one JD your plants must be well cuffed with ya....daddys sorted them a nice home! having them split like that means you can better watch the traits of each plant and try to get hints as to how theyll grow in flower (foxtailing cannot be pre known) lol

i look forward to watching an even more productive grow!!

lol i hear that. i also would love to own one but dont my name was just an old gamertag of mine. im starting some pollen chucking as well; i already fucked up and cut a male a bit to early, went to open the sacks to collect and there was nothing. got larry og bag-seed, chem x mat, hso's blue dream and some underdawg bag seed going on atm. havent updated my shit in weeks

That Blue Dream is a small plant under the Veg table right now.

Good luck with the seed making. If/when I get a second tent to
use to quarantine the males, then I will be doing the same.

Yea I hella wanna do some crosses. Super smell berry x blue cheese is definitely gonna happen. Along with PK x LL and PK x jamaican dream.

Sounds great. If I can right my ship, then I will be free

Hello all,

Well, tomorrow Week Four of Crop #5 comes to an end.

Things are proceeding nicely, though I did have to put a
few tops over on their side.

OG Kush, OG #18 == LOL, all over the place at first, but settled down now
PurpleBerry BX == I begin to find...this one is going to blow minds, I think.
Jack Herer == Just a bush...not really flowering. Is this a 6 monther?
LA Confidential == One of my favorites so far. The buds just set up fat.
Headband == Maybe the strongest and prettiest plant in the tent.
Skywalker OG Kush == This one is kinda between Headband and the wild OGs
Kosher Kush == My 8 MLed tops will finish....hard to tell how they will turn out yet.

I tried to take some right-afte-lights-off photos, and the LA Con came out blurry.
To bad, as these buds are just fat....fat fat fat:


You actually can see what I am talking about here...note the "face" of that bud....the tip...it is flat.
...and about the size of a quarter.

Last but not least, you are all going to be here for what I think might be
something special. The PurpleBerry BX from Cannaventure looks to be
making some amazing buds:

my next order is going to be RP's band. looking forward to your smoke report. what type of lights u use?

I have a main light, a ducted 600W HID lamp, that I supplement with
two Kessil 350 LEDs. I may well move the Ks to new, smaller, tents
to make pollen and such, as time goes along.

I can say that the RP Headband is a very strong plant. I always like that.
If the smoke is strong, then this is a keeper.

The LA Confidential is giving a similar impression.

The Jack Here I have zero idea what to expect.

LA Confidential became one of my top 10 favourites after the first hit I had of it. Hope you get that same badass flavour. Kinda like an oldschool Widow but deeper and richer, also a lot sweeter. Hard to describe, it was exotic and DANK.

That purple berry will be fun to watch. The gnat bud shot teaser looks alot like sour cherry from BB

Well, I will look forward to seeing if my LA Con pheno is
that good too.

I really like plants that are strong growers.....we all know that taste
and potency are king, and so 6 month grows like Purple Haze or oddball
grows like Dr. Grinspoon are still preferred to huge yields of less potent bud.

BUT if you have tasty and strong buds on a plant that also grows strong,
then this is a big plus for me.

My Blue Cheese, from Barney, was one of these. Not the pheno you are
looking for Pap, but a very strong grower. I have not brought myself to
let it die off yet.

As to that PB Papa, I am looking forward to some Sour Cherry. I popped
an extra bean of that on the other day. It is up successfully. I guess that,
along with Psycho Killer, I really want to try that one. :0)

Know that my current PB is the shortest plant and so it is right under the light. I expect
that this plant is going to do something cool.

Yea seems like it takes a lot of barney farms seeds to get the "cup winning" phenotype. One day I will find my blueberry muffin weed! Then again, my super smelly berry should prove to be very berry and fruity, so maybe I won't need to keep hunting.

I would like to try your BC, I to love those plants that just wanna grow. Remind me again, what did she taste like? All the BC I have grown has been a great high though, very couch lock very pain killer. If my current BC seedling is a good grower but not my flavor I probably won't kill her off

I think that my BC would be a great mother for a cross too.

I have one little mother, just up-potted from a beer cup.
If she thrives, then perhaps we can experiment.
