lol! I made it home on Thursday afternoon. My family had a little party for me and I ended up sleeping for about 20 hours afterwards. I feel like I just woke up from a coma! lol! It's good to be home though.

Okay okay okay. I'm a little behind the times it seems..... How about the 4.7 on the east coast of Japan that happened a few minutes ago? Or the 4.8 that happened on land in Japan a couple hours ago?

Commerce before common sense.. Talk about the world's need to share low cost oil with Japan.. Shut those reactors down and get rid of them before we sterilize the sea.
I saw that there are a dozen or so more after shocks recently.. The plates are moving bad.. I wonder what the total effect will be on all the other plates in the next 10 years.
I wonder if San Francisco is due again.

Japan will not be rebuilt...They have nothing to offer the world. Optics and automobile production has already been initiated in China (suspiciously BEFORE the earthquake major deals were being struck in these fields). Furthermore, Japans' debt is over 200% of it's GDP...they are fucked. Ultimately, China wins big in the equation.

LOL Ya. As I thought about the question I also realized that they were also all U.S. possessions at one time or another. The U.K. was I suppose just what we spawned from, but at one point we were part of the same whole.

They will survive...but they will never regain what they had...there will be no initiative to rebuild a damn thing there (as far as valuable infrastructure to the world market)...Considering that China produces approximately 94% of REE's, why the fuck would anyone invest in Japan?
