i have a feeling that trump is not gonna take any legal heat for 1/6
i hope they got the goods on him for money laundering and tax evasion in NY that even a successful run in 24 won't cure.

If he does run, it will be from a NY prison cell and I think he will be in one of those before he goes on trial for 1/6. If he's in a NY prison for anymore than 10 years he's getting out in a bag and federal time would be moot. The people they are going after are his political enemies and need to be removed as much as Trump so Mitch can get control of the party before the 2022 election. This will scare them into silence and get rid of some of them, he doesn't give a fuck about the country or insurrection, but he does care about getting the senate and his power back, this is a way to do it with clean hands and a minimum of blowback from the party base.
