EVERYBODY pays taxes. excise taxes, sales taxes, payroll taxes, income taxes, stamp taxes, trickledown taxes, hidden taxes, and even taxes on inability to do math and see that the lottery is just a tax on stupid people. bucky did in fact pay taxes, and the worst part is, the less you make the greater the slice of your pie that the government takes. he may have slid under the income tax minimum and got his withholding back, but washington (and the state house) have long straws with which to drink our milkshake. reducing the overall tax burden on those who shoulder the lion's share (which is the masses of the poor) would improve the economy. where i differ from buck and the left leaning economists is on whether placing greater burdens on the guys on top will do shit besides make them raise the costs on everyone below them. if you slap shell oil or exxon with a 5 billion dollar windfall tax they WILL recoup that loss by charging everyone else more for all the shit they sell, which will in turn cause a landslide effect until the taxes all wind up falling on the heads of the voiceless broke ass motherfuckers on the bottom. buck disagrees, and thus we shout scream and argue over the nuances, and forget we are all getting longdonged by the tax man, and wind up arguing over who took the biggest cock, and for how long, and who's butthole got reamed out harder. in the end it doesnt matter, the tax man's semen trickles down our bruised thighs all the same, except those at the top who keep their asses out of reach, and protect each other from violation regardless of their individual political leanings.

i actually don't disagree with the part about businesses passing on their costs, kynes. i have a different philosophy about it. i'll go look for the quote.

it's something along the lines of "the rich always end up with the money. if you give sums of money to the poor, the rich will have it by the end of the year, but at least it will have gone through the hands of the poor first".

wait is that monthly tax ? or annually the op did not notify
either way

starting at 3050*.05 = 152.5<235 so cannot be below this tax bracket
next up is (7,600-3050)*.07+152 =470.5>235 so cant be higher then this tax bracket

so

235=(.05)(3050) + (.07)x
235=152.5 +(0.7)x
(82.5/.07)=x
x= 1178.5

Total = 3050+1178.5
Total =$4228.5

assuming this is monthly tax that's
$50,742 annually before taxes

if it is yearly then
235/12 =19.58/month

19.58<152 so lowest tax bracket

19.58=(.05)x
(19.58/.05) =x
x=391.6

(391.6)(12) =4699.2

total =$ 4700 annually before tax

with that $50 reduction
$5600

thats why the rich are rich. the ability to sheild their wealth from taxes by selling their property and products for more if the taxes get higher. the onloy way to prevent the rich from getting richer is to institute full communism, or violent confiscatory socialism. either way the poor will still get fucked, but at least when they look over at the next adjacent rape table they might see a former fatcat getting reamed out too.

to me thats small comfort.

nonsense.

a progressive enough tax policy with other goodies like the estate tax is enough to prevent plutocracy without instituting full on socialism.

but i know a bircher will never buy that, it is a bircher's job to repeat communism in ominous tones whenever possible and despite all logic to the contrary.

the cost of the protections you espouse is too high. in order to ensure that rich people dont get TOO rich you rob the little guy of his dream of becoming a little less poor.

the cost is THE DEATH OF HOPE.

my grandpappy did all right, but when he died, the tax man took half his shit. we had to sell off everything he built in his life to satisfy the tax man's desire to protect us from anyone inheriting his farm. after all it was "worth millions" when he died, but only sold for $200k the tax man of course wnated half of the assessed value, and not a penny less.

in the end all i got from my grandpappy from his bequests was his deer rifle and his el camino.

naw i didn't do all the special shit just that you said that 50 plus more . so I would estimate 6000 with , marriage and kids reduction all the shit I don't know about you.

That would require commission lol

nah it's cool, that was 30+ years ago. my brother wrecked the el camino (it had the Conquista package too, that still breaks me up) but his old remington model 8 still rocks and rolls like the day it was made back in 1944
