You and your fancy numbers, stop the talk ;)

I genuinely worked out the tax rates, got one digit wrong and made myself look a toolbox and had to hit up a "fail edit".

I once had a very good friend who was quite a good mathematician who advised me, "NEVER do math in public". That's good advice, and I was reluctant to answer the OP's question for that very reason.

Floating in full of drugs and booze and trying to perform this number-dance was foolish, I admit that now, lol.

my total tax liability to the state was $285, i should add.

i only had to pay them $235 because i sent $50 to my buddy obama. :bigjoint:

thought i should add that. i also did married filing separate and did not take the standard deduction. be sure to keep that in your calculations, beenqueer.

Personal attack! I never mentioned any names. If I was talking shit about how much I paid in taxes and you found out they were all lies, are you trying to tell me that you and Bucky wouldn't be all over it, get real.

Cry me a river dude, Bucky is a full time asshole on this forum and he can reap what he sows.
Dude, Buck is just another person on here, he just trolls unexpecting noobs a lot, but sure don't we all sometimes ;)

Very few people playing the "leave emotions at the door" politics game anymore, too much butthurt.

Since he didn't take the standard deduction, that means he has enough deductions to make it worth it- so his income was probably more like in the $10K-$15K range if he has a mortgage interest, medical and business expenses, tuition deduction, other dependents and/or a host of other things.
