Is soil easier?

I am not as experienced as others, but I’m not having trouble growing in soil. I’m using Happy Frog and a super soil. No need for nutrients at all, just water. It’s been super easy so far. I amazingly haven’t killed my plants and I only have 6 or 7 weeks to my first harvest. I’ve been so bad at growing anything my entire life that I didn’t think I’d even get this far. So I would say Soil is pretty easy, especially with this super soil mixture.
If you have 6-7 weeks left you haven't hit the timeline when things can start to turn. I hope your grow goes flawless and you have a great harvest. Stay vigilant as things can happen fast and in soil it's not as quick of a fix as in coco or hydro.

Good luck with your grow.

In my opinion growing cant be any easier than with organic soil i would say coco is the most forgiving out of the hydro methods but dirts just easier due to its buffering capacity i think plus i feel the end product is superior in taste and smell aint saying u dont get good hydro its just my personal preference i will always use organic soil/compost

do you top water after top dressing?
I do lightly water where I scratched everything in. Just enough to moisten the ammendments and soil. Ive been noticing the plants are hungrier in sips than pots. Once the roots find water, they are like hungry hungry hippos smashing down the food. The growth rate is awesome, but you've got to keep up with their appetite. On a couple plants, I've top dressed a second time about 4 weeks into flower. Every strain is different, but the sips seem to be pretty forgiving. @myke can show you some insane root pics in his homemade sips. They look like bricks of roots molded in the shape of the tote.

Sips would rock it outdoors. I’m testing a tomato sip under my deck. So far no problems with water going funky in 90f temps. View attachment 4939831
I had a customer that wanted a garden on her little side deck. Some organic soil and 2 of the patio pickers sips, and she has tomatoes, peppers, and squash exploding all over the deck. I think they drink the water too fast for the water to go bad.

Nice toms!

I've had an eye on octopots - seems like a lot of advantages.

Downsides?
