If you have 6-7 weeks left you haven't hit the timeline when things can start to turn. I hope your grow goes flawless and you have a great harvest. Stay vigilant as things can happen fast and in soil it's not as quick of a fix as in coco or hydro.
Yes you can use blumats outdoors. Keep in mind that you need a reservoir elevated above the level of the blumat carrots due to them being gravity fed.

I do lightly water where I scratched everything in. Just enough to moisten the ammendments and soil. Ive been noticing the plants are hungrier in sips than pots. Once the roots find water, they are like hungry hungry hippos smashing down the food. The growth rate is awesome, but you've got to keep up with their appetite. On a couple plants, I've top dressed a second time about 4 weeks into flower. Every strain is different, but the sips seem to be pretty forgiving. @myke can show you some insane root pics in his homemade sips. They look like bricks of roots molded in the shape of the tote.
I had a customer that wanted a garden on her little side deck. Some organic soil and 2 of the patio pickers sips, and she has tomatoes, peppers, and squash exploding all over the deck. I think they drink the water too fast for the water to go bad.
