Is it possible to need to go to jars after 4 days?

I cut my plant down Friday night and some parts are feeling very dry. Is it possible they need to go over to jars already? No stems are snapping except for very small ones.

Yes, it's possible depending on the temp, RH, and airflow in your drying area. Mine usually feel dry on the outside by the time I put in jars. Then some moisture is drawn out from the inside during the cure. I would jar the ones with snapping stems....if they feel dry on the outside already.

Good luck! Peace :peace:

I put these hygrometers in the jars. I try to stay in the 58%-60% range. To test them out, I put all of them in the same empty jar for a few hours to see that they measure the same value consistently. I throw out any major outliers.

Every 12 to 24 hrs, check to see if the buds are too moist. If they are too moist, dump them onto a clean surface and let dry more before putting back in jars.
How moist is too moist? I have a hydrometer in there reading about 60% humidity. When I touch them the stems snap a little and buds feel sticky.

I try to keep mine in the 58% to 60% range. I see a lot of people say 62% is their ideal, but I like it a tad bit drier. If the hygrometer says 60%, that's good. Just open once a day for the first week or so to exchange the air.

I just slow dry and jar when the buds are at no risk of molding. I start smoking immediately. Been doing it that way for decades. Weed turns out great. Potent smell and taste. Not a fan of old cured weed. I don't own a single hygrometer and I don't burp jars.

Works for me.

It's possible but any moisture inside the buds when jarred can change the good smell to bad

As has been said dry

Nobody growing quantities are burping jars
