There is hope for peace yet,
Sure there's hope. The exact same amount of hope that Neville Chamberlain brought back from Munich after talking to Hitler.
'No more war': Chamberlain reads the agreement, also signed by Hitler, when he landed in the UK in 1938, saying the document was 'symbolic of the desire of our two peoples never to go to war with one another again
His "Peace in our time" claim sure held a lot of water.
Appeasement never works and in spite of all the harsh sounding talk released for public consumption by the sheeple the U.S. and the rest of the world has appeased Iran behind the scenes.
Dubya's approval ratings were so low by the time he left office that before going he should have ordered every bunker-buster we had to be targeted at every know or suspected Iranian nuclear facility and put back their nuclear weapons time frame five to ten years.
An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile - hoping it will eat him last
Winston Churchill
Danger - if you meet it promptly and without flinching - you will reduce the danger by half. Never run away from anything. Never!
Winston Churchill
Another development on this issue, is that both China and Russia (who have a pact to fight together if the Yanks declare war on either of them) have stated categorically, that it would be a big mistake for America, Britain and the controllers of those two countries (Israel) to attack Iran.
It kinda of sounded like a veiled threat, suggesting perhaps that China and Russia would maybe aid Iran if they do attack them
Help would be in the form of like Vietnam, arms, aid and training. The Russians and Chinese know that no war with the U.S. would remain conventional, especially if Israel would be involved, and neither are going down for the count for Iran.
The U.S. and Israel would be just as bad off. There would be no winners. Iran would not exist, Russia, China, Israel, the U.S. would all be in ruins, as most or all NATO nations likely would also be by the time the smoke cleared. If the U.S. attacked Iran and then Russia and China attacked the U.S. NATO would be obligated to come to the aid of the U.S.
It's big talk and posturing for perceived power and increased influence in the world. What's said behind the scenes is almost always very different.
