I know history would suggest that leaf, but I think we are entering new territory with regards to the 'normalization' of marijuana, both as a medicine and a recreational drug. With a changing of the guard federally, I'm not sure there will be an appetite to allow HC to continue the charade. Just my opinion, of course.

Conroy himself said this could go 4-5 years. New patients who didn't get into the MMAR or patients who missed the renew dead line are gonna get screwed for a while...sucks.

It's about time they get behind a real program and do medical research to support the position that cannabis is a medicine. With a bit of effort our country could be an industry leader.
We could have been a leader, but no little effort will elevate us to that status now.
I cannot see us even coming close to where Israel and Spain are at.

Im hoping after listening to this circus sideshow of expert witnesses the judge takes it out of hc hands.
Deny the appeal we all know is coming and start using all these tax dollars to help patients not keep meds out of their hands.
I was talking to a lawyer over the weekend who told me that he has been following along and he told me that if the allard team wins they can for sure submit most if not all their expenses to health canada.
Perhaps if the appeal was costing them out of pocket they would be less likely to appeal at all.

The key point Chris is making is if there is a change in federal power. ...and it is true we don't know what the Liberals will do if elected.
True that but who knows how long it'll take for that whole thing to unfold...years. and that's if liberals get voted in.

Can the Libs do much with a minority?

One of the left outs was busted a couple days ago out east. 17 plants. Claims he tried to submit his paperwork for a renewed license but HC denied him because 'the program is shutting down'.

The judge can't take it out of HC hands though.
The court and the judge can't determine a "new program". They can tell HC to come up with a new program within a year.
There is no way that a judge will deny an appeal from HC.

No....majority is required for sure to have any real change.

Do you have details on the 17 plants?....I know a lawyer who is waiting for the "right" patient to go all the way.
