With 4 ft max head room gonna have to keep em short and squat but with new lighting and ditching the Folgers Coffee cans...damn brutha can't wait to see the results!

I've brought back some painfully sad looking plants under the 420's. Give em a couple of days and watch the difference.

My god. This thread gets better and better the more I read. Came back and have had a lot of informative reading thanks to all those who chime in, and you too chaz! Everything looks wonderful guys. Can't wait to get my 420 , I still have a few months yet. Where can I find spliff? A shame he had to move elsewhere.

Thank you sir! I'm sure he's out there changing the world. Now my mind can be at ease. As far as the indagro goes, I was worried about bud production, but it seems to be panning out pretty well for everyone. some friends of mine have doubts in the 420s capabilities. Saying its best used along side HPS or LED. Also saying the 'shiny red light's on the pontoon don't do shit. I laugh at them and watch as they invest in their own get-ups. I know I would spend my money less frivolously, and actually get the bang for the buck

Hiya Scar! Glad to see you got it in one piece. When they first started shipping these I had a few arrive broken. Seems the new packaging has reduced breakage to damn near nill.

So with today being day 1 under the IG it'll be interesting to see how long it takes those droopers (possible over watering, RH or perhaps the Riant wasn't putting out enough light) to perk up. I predict an early frost too.

Looking for a bounce back in a week...Pulling up a chair :hump:

congrats scar! your little cubby of joy looks very happy! i can't wait to see the next post of the ladies! i bet they're loving it!

there's also a bit of activity on the ole spliff channel on YT... ;-)

Thanks for the update Urb! I think I speak for many of us here when I say that we miss our old buddy and was wondering what had become of him. Now I see that all is well in the land of Spliff.

Hot damn they're ALL looking good! Some guys just have it DOWN!

On another note; it looks like the greenhouse growers up north have another way for year round production without breaking the bank. This will also interface with their ADR controller where you just plug in your Moles/Day and once you reach that value is shuts the lights down no matter what time of the day it is. http://www.inda-gro.com/pdf/Pro-420-PAR-DH.pdf

I guess this just happened yesterday. Casper Leitch is a 30 year activist who produces the Time4Hemp live radio show which is broadcast over the entire iHeart radio network. Casper had Paul Stanford on who is another long time well known canna activist out of Portland and a Jason Brookes who had been selling iGrow induction grow lights until iGrow screwed him over at which point he went the China direct route and was on the show espousing the virtues of induction lighting for growing weed. Jason strikes me as a good guy and a long time grower who knows his way around a garden. Earlier in the show you can hear describing how years ago Casper threw in when CPS was screwing with his kids cuz he was growing. If Casper throws in to help you than you're alright in my book.

At about 27:00 into the show Jason starts talking about the high PG&E rates in NorCal and the benefits he realized when he chose induction over HID.

It gets interesting when Darryl from Inda-Gro gets an unannounced invite to join the conversation @37:00 into the show. The remaining 20 min of that show is radio gold as Jason and Darryl discuss induction.

Question
does the 730 red led s run all the time along side the 660s?
Or is the the 730 on only when lights off?

Question
does the 730 red led s run all the time along side the 660s?
Or is the the 730 on only when lights off?
Our patented Pontoon design utilizes a built in control circuitry that senses once the 660nm diodes turn off. Once
off, the 730nm diodes, powered by Lithium-ion batteries built into the Pontoon, will run the 730nm diodes only for
approximately 5 minutes at which time they turn off in gradual steps decreasing the normal indoor Phytochrome
switch from 2 hours to less than 10 minutes. Indoor gardeners may wish to adjust their lights on photoperiods for
an extra hour or more to take advantage of the indoor plants natural photobiological response to this wavelength.

Not to worry. The phosphor emits @ 730nm so the only reason the 730 diodes were added is so they could run exclusively at lights out.

Ahhh this brings back fond memories from my youth...Take away the rivets and she's the spitting image of a native LBFM I had met while wife hunting in Makati. Another one that got away...

What happens when using the pontoon and you have a power outage?

I ask because according to Inda-Gro "will run the 730nm diodes only for approximately 5 minutes at which time they turn off in gradual steps decreasing the normal indoor
Phytochrome switch from 2 hours to less than 10 minutes
"

So if the power goes out for 20 minutes, the plants relax, then the power comes back on, how does that affect the plants?
