hahah...thanks mr. sheen...you are absolutely right.....raaaarrrrr!!!!

hmmm...yeah these test strips say that yellow is 6.2 and acidic...but 6.2 should be good for these plants...i'll have to try the drops I guess...I tried to find them at walmart...is that where you got the drops?
I get my "drops" from my "friend" ;)

the paper strips should be fine, and 6.2 is dead on, that's what i get from my water
drops are cheap, about $4, but might be pretty much the same stuff as the strips if the color code is the same, probably green/blue colors for over 7.0 PH

well unfortunately the strip is yellow right out of the box....and the scale on the package starts at yellow/6.2...so you can't actually get a reading any lower...so for all I know, it could be like 5.0 or something...

i see your point, that might be normal for the strips, but not sure
the cheap drops are good down to 6.0, that might help you out, unless it is below 6.0, which could be a concern

i see some balls, so we're talking at least 1 hermie or male, not sure if there are any pistils showing

i'm getting really confused and frustrated....what a PITA this is. I saw a few pics of female plants that also has little balls...the ovules sprout out of them apparently...so I can't tell between the male/female. I thought this would be a day and night difference.

also..are hermies that common? and is it possible that the females got pregant that quickly? they have only been budding for 3 weeks...

i can't tell if they are herms, pregant, or just females...regardless, I put them all back together and i'm just going to let whatever happends happen...

here's some pics from two plants....the pic with the fingernail is one plant...and the rest of the pics are of another plant....male/female? pregant? i'm so confused...they look like they have ovules, but they have little sacks in them as well...???
I can't really tell from the first two pictures, but the one with the fingernails are male pollen sacks. Are coming out of the entire plant or just some areas? Are there hairs in other locations of the plant? If it is a mixture of both it is hermie, if not it is just male.

How long has the sacks been showing? If they just popped out and have not burst open they shouldn't have pollinated yet. The females pictures that you saw were probably more developed and were actual female buds. Different strains may look different, but when my male sprouted sacks it was very obvious that he was a male plant. In a matter of half of a day there were balls everywhere on the plant, no question or doubt about it. I've never seen a hermie up close and personal so I can share my experience when it come to them.

I wish I could help you more, but you have the right idea, just wait and see what happens and eventually you will know for sure. If it is hermie or male you can separate it from your females, that is, unless you want to make seeds.

this can be a frustrating hobby, but a hermie isn't the end of the world
one thing you can do is to pluck the balls off that you see, though catching all of them may be hard
there is a product called Dutch Master Reverse that might be helpful in getting rid of these balls, but that's iffy at best
the balls don't seem to have opened yet, but that's tough to tell from the pics
my last grow was a hermie, good quality bud, but with seeds, a hermie grow suffers from a reduction in quantity, not so much in quality

well it was hard for me to tell in person...so i'm sure the pics are even more difficult...i'll check them out tonight or whenever I get another chance. At this point, i'm just going to see what happens...i'm not expecting much since the leaves are burnt and there's a good chance the females are pregnant...

msBBB....I really could only find the sac within what I think are the buds...put it this way..it was hard to find those little sacs...it took me a few minutes to hunt them down..I thought it would be a lot easier to spot...

ok..so I think things are looking up...i think it's clear that there's 2 males, and 2 females....what do you think by the pics? I named the pics...let me know what you think...male, female, herm, etc...

also....is there anything you can do with males besides make seeds or are they to be thrown out completely? someone mentioned making hashish with them but I never heard of that...

your last pic is a female, looking good
males don't get too much respect here, but supposedly some can produce some usable material
but the risk to your female(s) is what you need to consider, the pollen has a way of walking it's way around if you're not careful

so the first three pics are def males? if so i'll dispose...

and yeah, the last pic and the second last pic look very similar in person..so I think they are both females..

#1 and #2 very male, #3 looks at least mostly male, probably just a slightly different looking male
you need to get rid of them quickly(or isolate), no telling when the 1st pollen gets sprayed(if it hasn't already)
