Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Basically, I forgot about the whole "districts" thing. Since I will be changing districts, it looks like I will need a new card sent (maybe not see edit)? Then I will be able to change my dispensary. I have a feeling these are the type of things that are going to change immediately once the program is actually taken seriously.

Kinda sucks because I am sure the Chicago dispensaries are slightly better then the Rockford ones.

EDIT: Actually its not clear if a new card will be needed, it looks like that might only be needed for name changes. What I am not sure about is if the address documents need to be in my name. It will be easy to get a bill, but its not in my name. My license has my address, but will have my old one. The annoying thing is the place I am staying now is only temporary, I will likely be moving within the city in 2-3 months.
District you live in or go to has nothing to do with your card. That is only for dispensaries and telling IDPH which district the dispensary you want is in.
I could use a dispensary in F'ingham one day, do the dispensary change and use a dispensary in Chicago a couple days later (hopefully) and I'm nowhere near either.

I think you will get a new card for an address change.
Not having bills in your name is a big problem with our system, as is the need to change your address within 10 days. Who gets their proof of address requirements that fast?

I don't know if they define what a temporary address is or has to do. I'd say go by other rules but nothing else uses the 10 day rule.

I motioned the court for an immediate court order to obtain meds. Based on the law, they have violated my rights in my opinion. Let's see what the judge says.
It seems to me like the state is not only violating our rights, but also their own rules and law. Please keep us updated.

hahaaaa...that speaks for it self !
It sure does, it says illinois doesnt care about this program or its patients and only has hired and have done the bare minimum to be compliant. Id like to know how much of idph budget is for the program. If i were running that place, i would hire people to process apps, and have a respectable website. I bet the dispensaries would even pay to hire employees to process apps. The wait is ridiculous and im glad that someone brought a lawsuit against them, i will be watching closely!

I figured, what the heck. It's only $110. Why not see what a judge has to say about it. The worst he can say is no, and dismiss it. Which that puts me in the same position, waiting on a card. But, from what I have read they're in clear violation of the state laws that govern this card, and medicine. I may be wrong, but I just highly doubt that.

This is a complete joke of a process.

Hey, I'm new.
I mailed my application 9/15 express, it was signed for on 9/18.
12/6 my check was cashed.
12/10 I received a letter stating they didn't receive my doctors portion of the paperwork.
I talked to the wonderful woman handling my application & mailed out the new paperwork 12/14.
Hoping all goes well & I receive my card soon.

I know FOID has had lawsuits for their slow walking but I've never heard of the results. I know they've been doing better lately. Makes me wonder if they aren't far reaching decisions.

IDPH has definitely been in violation. I'm not sure about with the new law extending their time to 90 days. I know the provisional could be done much faster but also think the bureaucratic red tape excuse will work.

By the way, you are Very Bright for a New Person, I like what you said, But...This is Illinois, Where we put the Dysfunction and inefficiency into a way of Government. They would never give you the money to do those things, because they do not have it. The State has been operating in The Red for Decades.

Wouldn't it be Hilarious if Rahm Gets it Legal before leaving in 5 months in Chicago? He might be trying to UpstageJB before leaving office. That He could do that before Provisional and Opioid is set up and running would be yet another Black Eye to The State's feet dragging.

Well Here you have it in a Nutshell, why we have to call Thousands of times. 84 days before she even finds out there is a problem. A total Embarrassment to make people wait like that hearing Zippo.

I'm not sure what you mean. I've only heard of him wanting to use the taxes for the pensions. Hollow promise/spending money before they have it again.
