Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

if You Don't Call , will Think All Weekend " Should Have Called" ?
I have mixed feelings about calling. While it was nice to know there were no issues with my application, it might have made the waiting worse for me. Just the way I'm wired, I guess.

edit:

And, of course, the day my card is arriving my dispensary's website is down. Thank god for Leafly.

Not Weird ! Do What is Right For You ! But That Is What They Are There For ! Why They Have a Number !

Good Luck !! Please let us know if Your Approved Yet ! If You Are , You will Be The First to Report a October Approval !
Got a hold of some one and guy said my application is currently "processing." He said if they need more info that I would get a letter pretty soon and it could be up to 30 days til I get my card. Happy it is processing and my check was cashed yesterday! Hope it is soon, before end of year!!

I think you need your card number to change dispensaries... Let us know if this works for you, I’m regretting picking the dispensary I chose now— I want more CBD heavy options and the place I picked doesn’t stock many (or any) of the 1:1 strains. So I want to change asap as well.
You definitely need the number. But once you get the card it’s better than waiting a week or until you can get there

When I finally got through to the IDPH yesterday, in addition to the other things I mentioned in my earlier post, I also asked if it was possible to change dispensaries before receiving my card. I was told I could, by requesting the change in writing via email or snail mail. So it looks like you don't need your card number to change dispensaries until you get the card in hand.
Awesome!! Thank you for sharing that...

I guess it depends on who you ask. Yesterday the guy I spoke with at IDPH said that I could change my designated dispensary right now, before I receive my card, by sending the office a letter or email designating my preferred dispensary.

So, I just got this!

Thank you for contacting the Office of the Governor regarding your medical cannabis registry card application. Your email has been sent to me for a response. We show that your application was received on October 4, 2018. It has been processed and approved. You will receive your card in the mail in approximately 10 to 14 days. Please note, the postal holidays in December may result in a delay in receiving US mail.

Please let us know if you have additional questions.

What was your timeline? Did this speed things up any?

Edit: never mind, I went back and looked.

I am not sure. I just sent an email asking to help so we weren't the laughing stock of the cannabis community. I submitted 9/27 I believe. But, I dropped it off at the dispensary and did not send. They did.
