District you live in or go to has nothing to do with your card. That is only for dispensaries and telling IDPH which district the dispensary you want is in.Basically, I forgot about the whole "districts" thing. Since I will be changing districts, it looks like I will need a new card sent (maybe not see edit)? Then I will be able to change my dispensary. I have a feeling these are the type of things that are going to change immediately once the program is actually taken seriously.
Kinda sucks because I am sure the Chicago dispensaries are slightly better then the Rockford ones.
EDIT: Actually its not clear if a new card will be needed, it looks like that might only be needed for name changes. What I am not sure about is if the address documents need to be in my name. It will be easy to get a bill, but its not in my name. My license has my address, but will have my old one. The annoying thing is the place I am staying now is only temporary, I will likely be moving within the city in 2-3 months.
I could use a dispensary in F'ingham one day, do the dispensary change and use a dispensary in Chicago a couple days later (hopefully) and I'm nowhere near either.
I think you will get a new card for an address change.
Not having bills in your name is a big problem with our system, as is the need to change your address within 10 days. Who gets their proof of address requirements that fast?
I don't know if they define what a temporary address is or has to do. I'd say go by other rules but nothing else uses the 10 day rule.
