I think using the roll it up blogs to select people for article submissions, to create a national MMJ magazine that follows MMJ news and features grow of the month and stuff like that, with lots of real information like the horticulture behind growing and equipment reviews would be awesome, and relatively cheap to get going

*nudge nudge ....... roll it up, create me a job *wink......... I would work for food housing and meds.

There is no limit.. although we all know that it would be hard for someone to re create the idea I have for the magazine. I thought I would just throw that in there for all the mo-fo's out there with 10million dollars and think they can create what I will or can, is simply not going to happen.

I am not a fool and just gonna show people the way if I do not have a key. The magazine must be built upon certain rules if it is too outshine and take MI by storm.

Whoever helps me will be a millionaire as well. I have seen it all I just lack the ones to help unleash the power of the people. I do not have the materials of some sort but what I have you cannot buy. no more details I wish to speak with someone with a printing press and I wish to speak with a lendor.

I wish to hear from others that are willing to help me get it going. We all know you will not be helping just me when you help me if you know me. I need nothing I can buy "except a vacation".lol

I am done fucking around and am ready to build something great. The magazine is just a peak and is by far not the summit. I can bring ALL of michigan together if someone with whatever is willing to help me. If I cannot bring all of Michigan together you can sue me and take my million.

I do not have to worry about the lawsuite either... it will work.

To tell ya the truth what I really want is for people to jam pack my head with so much information about getting a magazine started that my head explodes. What do you know RIU?

Who in Michigan knows the way of the magazine life.."behind the scenes"

I wish to know something right know.. how much does it cost to produce a magazine in michigan? How much would it cost to make 100,000 copies at say 125 pages a piece.

You see the problem is RIU is not fast enough for me........ I can go fast. I need a fucking computer program that can tell me everything besides shit about god.

There already is, it's called the midwest cultivator.. Not really a magazine yet though, just a tri-monthly paper kind of deal...

did you check out LULU.com?

Why yes I did. Is it only an online magazine? I need to create a magazine the boys will take into the shitter. Real like hightimes. Lord knows it would even help out the economy in the area of publishing somewhere here in MI.

I did not look to long, I was planning on checking it out a bit more in a minute.

They print your book for you. They even print to order so you don't have to put any money down. Problem is you only make 80% of the profit, they take the rest including printing costs... It's great for small startups. Like if you just wanted to get it off the ground. Have people order the magazine until you can afford to put already printed copies in stores.

Maybe they mostly do books, but the concept is what I wanted you to see. There are a hundred other publishers online just like them. That will print you book for you for free. Just you make less money on each book sold.

Yeah, watch the demo. It explains it a million times better. You might have to click "Sell" on the left hand side of the demo window.

I have now checked it out a bit, I gave ya your green point for being such a help ClosetSafe. I wanna thank you for showing me that as an option.

All you Michiganders know that I am wanting to be a big part of a magazine as to the ideas and lot's of help. I do not wanna have a magazine that is all mine. It will be a group effort, I wanna be a big brave I do not wish to be the cheif. - right? right.

I must however get things rolling or they will not move.

Createspace is another option, not sure if it is more expensive than lulu, but both require no start up fees.

There are plenty of online print-on-demand places out there that require no start up fees, just search online, and you will find what you are looking for.

If it's such a million dollar idea, then finding an investor to cover the startup costs won't be an issue. Anyone can make a 125 page magazine, the issue lies with making one each month and keeping the ideas new and non-repetitive, in short, the long term business plan. I think that most anyone would find it near impossible to do that as an individual without a good team of writers. The team of writers is also essential unless you happen to be of such a talent that you can vary your writing style and opinions and such from article to article. People like variety in the articles they read not just in the content but the syntax, style, attitude of the writers.
