in 7th grade I was in pre-Algebra, and I took Algebra in 8th grade, and in 9th grade(passed both times) and moved past Geometry and Algebra 2 in Highschool. But NEVER had to do any fill-in-the-box online work. it's tiresome. The teacher e-mails the students in-class print outs and doesnt have even half of the class' addresses right. It's almost a joke..You want lazy? I'll give you lazy....
I received Algebra in the 7th grade. The fact that colleges even have to teach Algebra is an indictment of the educational system as a whole.
yeah, the online work is bull-shit as far as math goes. In my Botany class, it's no problem. The tricky symbols and spacing of numbers you have to do online is truely wack. but I just completed all of the assignments I needed before class today so im in the green zoneI'm taking PreCalculus right now, Pnug. And it's not so much the difficulty of the class that's the issue, it's the online work. I do not believe that math assignments should be conducted over the internet. I'd rather hand in some hastily scribbled answers to bookwork than try to insert calculaic answers into a box online.
Damn bro I'm sorry.. I feel your pain. i leave for algebra in 20 minutesI FEEL THE EXACT GOD DAMN WAY NOW
i was up until 5 am last night doing college algebra and accounting.
it's not that this section is hard, it's just a shitload of substitution, so it's a lot of work and showing your work.
fuck i'm exhausted.
Congrats on the grade, and smoking also. I got a B on my first test, but i knew I did bad since it was all graphing. Oh well, now the real algebra starts and I can get my AJust found out I made a 90 on my first Chapter Test!! I guess I had to get back in to the swing of things
but still, internet-based algebra is bull-shit. I can make A's in class, but B's and C's online, because of certain notation.
Maybe.. I have already taken the class twice and passed both. This time around, there are a few new elements I don't remember ever studying in highschool. Also, a graphing calculator was never a requirement in my 8th and 9th grade Algebra classes. It is now, as well as the online acrobat-reader based math lab. Atleast I have an AThey give it now because so many don't already possess the skills. It wasn't always that way. 30 years ago, you would be hard pressed to find any College teaching Algebra 1. Back then, it was a given that the student had learned it already.
Basically you are paying for all the remedial students in your College.
who's with me?
It's not so much that I'm not good at it, it's just the workload. Half of the course requirements are online assignments, which is ridiculous. Teachers have really gotten lazy, imo..
Which means one more time for you!!damn that sucks... I've taken college algebra twice and still haven't gone to college! lol
