I don't know how Gates entered his house, and I never said I did. I simply said he was arrested. I do agree with Kynes that Gates acted like an idiot, though. As annoying as it undoubtedly was for Gates, he was dumb to turn it into a confrontation with a cop. From a practical point of view, it does not pay to fight with a guy who has a gun and a badge. Much better to seek redress after the fact.
