My wife had her 2nd shot day before yesterday. She was pretty out of it. Flu like symptoms. sleeping for hours, etc, etc. But she's feeling a little better, which is good enough for me to head out to the riverhouse for camp night. 100% chance of rain tonight, so I have to get my miles in early. See you guys later on.

Yea, the PCT is tricky. You have to wait for the snow to melt in the southern mountains before safely passing. But if you wait too long you won't make it to Canada on time. Lots of folks end up flipping up there and hiking SOBO.

The beauty of hiking is, the people you meet are like minded. No skateboarders, or belligerents. They love the nature around them and respect it. That's high country, though. Hell, just completing the California section from Mexico to Oregon would make me proud.

PCT is an amazing thing. I've done two sections. Tuolumne Meadows to Kings Canyon and Tuolumne Meadows to Sonora pass. Also, I've done some long trips in Yellowstone and Teton Wilderness. There are some sections in Oregon that I want to see.

I haven't done much backpacking in a while. I got tired of carrying everything (and whining kids "can we stop now?" and spending more time detangling their fishing line than fishing) so I got into white water rafting. For a family wilderness trip, it was the way to go. But I do want to get back to hiking once the kids are out of the house.

Until very recently, I had a house in McCloud and would visit Ashland. College towns are the best. Medford, eh, it's okay.

Many of those traitors that stormed the Capitol will be fighting for their anal virginity if they still have it from the inside of a federal prison. Call it Maximum Security cage fighting. Many of those traitors will also be fighting to find a job. They will be blackballed from employment and their traitorous acts will forever be available online for any potential employer to find with a simple google search. trump supporters were too stupid to realize that their actions would have consequences as they ignorantly posted online from within the Capitol building as they joined in the traitorous act of invading the Capitol in an act of war against the United States of America.

It pleases me to see many have already been terminated from their employment and many are currently incarcerated for their act of sedition.

The Dems did their fighting at the ballot box like civilized individuals which is why they control all three branches of government.

Looks like you picked the wrong team. trump is yesterday's news and will fade away to be nothing more than a footnote in the history books as the worst President in the history of the United States and the only President that attempted to overthrow the government.

Anti-Democracy voter suppression is their MO and has been for years. When you have no ideas except tax cuts for the wealthiest it's hard to get new people to vote for you. It's much easier to prevent people from voting. Fortunately with the rapidly shifting demographics in America, voter suppression is becoming less and less of a viable means to win. The proud girls, qastupid and the oat eaters are not Real America. Real America won last November.

We need to keep on track and focus on breakfasts, both international and continental. We need to nourish ourselves and feed our sisters and brothers. Just don’t feed the troll and he will go away.
