HTG Supply gets big PROPS

Your right...do you have any experience with the HTG brand ballasts?Anyone?....are they good quality considering the price?or are they some cheap light thta were made by malnourished asians in a Chinese sweatshop that break down after a few days???

Yep I just Bought two of there complete Growbright lighting systems 1000 watt with the air cooled euro refelctor.

They ended up sending me the AGROSTAR ballasts with Agrostar Bulbs For FREE.

I paid $604 for two 1000 watt AGRO with AGRO bulbs and air cooled hoods.

They have been running for about a month and are excellent machines.

Ive heard of this alot,where HTG just upgrades your ballasts and bulbs for free,outta nowhere..soudns like a decent company if you ask me...Ima order a 150W from them..is the 150W enough light...I wish I can get a 400W..

You can, comon outlaw risk a little and go for the 400watt.

When I bought my 600w HPS/MH cooltube from them they upgraded me to a didgital ballast free! Also came with free hangers and a timer I wasnt expecting. Im not using the hangers but the timer works great. I buy all my stuff from HTG, their awesome.

Im just not so sure that Ill be able to keep the plants nice and cool...without having to invest a couple hundred dollars for all the ducting,fans,scrubber etc,etc...I wish I could..but tis'not a luxury I have,mainly because the setup would become a little to sophisticated for my taste lol...I have heard of keeping the light cool using only a few house fans pointing at the light bulb directly..will this work?Please keep in mind that I live in hot Fl....and not the north part!

too sophisticated? you know what HTG stands for right, HIGH TECH GARDEN SUPPLY. I like the fact that my grow looks like something out of a science fiction movie.

Lemme rephrase myself..I need my setup to be easily dismantled,incase something happens..I live in the big city,in the hood,where cops arrest anyone for being outisde on their porch...considering "suspicois drug activity in the area"..lol bullshit..its easier ripping down some fans,and a light..than ripping down all types of mylar,ducts,ac's..hydropnoic units etc..you get me?I wish I can havethe most high tech garden in the world..some NASA type shit lol!!

And it didnt cost me that much to vent my cooltube, check out some of HTG fans, they got several options. I bought three of these at $40 each, they are 250cfm and work great.

Also, I would get at least 400w for starters. The light setup is not something to get cheap on if you want quality and quantity.

A friend of mine has a grow going in a huge wardrobe in his room. When he has family in town he borrows my dolly (sp?) and moves the whole damn thing into my garage. Its a pretty easy move and hes had to do it several times. You may consider something like this for your setup. Something that is contained and can be moved out of the house quickly if need be without really being obvious.

I guess I might consider stating with a 400W HPS for flowering,and running a SOG grow..I have a few questions though...:

1.Is 400W enouhg to grow plants from clones thrown into 12/12 as soon as they root?

2.Can I keep things cool in south FL's summer time without ducts and high powered fans??

3.How much will a 400 cost for ruuning?12/12 in Miyayo?? baby!!

Outlaw, if would really recomend getting a air cooled hid light. I have two 1000 watters. One of em running in a closet and the temps stay perfecto. i also have ac, but i cant stress how much heat a air cooled lamp will get rid of. and really the faster the fan you have blowing on it the cooler it will get. I can touch the hood of my lamp while its in the middle of its 12/12 cycle and it just gives off a light heat. (its 1000 watts for godsake). Without the air cooled hood that bulb would be like a stove.

See what I mean..I bet you have a really high powered fan huh?Maybe 265CFM?Higher?And you said you have an AC in the growroom..I cant afford any of these things,the fan alone is a couple hundred..then I gotta install the ducting and connect the intake..damn thats alot of work man..hell I wish I had a backyard to flower the plants like they were supposed to...damn its so great livin in the Fl hood lol...also I bet almost all the growers on here have own their property,not me !!Nope,apartment livin for me lol!!

What I really desire is a decent amount of high grade cannabis for myself and a few close freinds..nothing to fancy..just an ounce or two..do you think this is possible from indica dom

Dude, get a cooltube. All you need is a $40 fan and less than $20 worth of 6'' flex duct and your up and running with a badass setup. But its worth another $40 for a second fan on the cooltube to lower temps even more. Its a wise investment for an indoor grow
