This is ware farma is messing up. You need both thc and cbd working together. if you dont want to get high then you to make an oil that can be absorbed through the skin. I did a tutorial on how to make tincture a while back. its in the medicating section and here in the michigan sub forum. instead of using olive oil as a base use glycerin. The tincture cured my eczema btw. I had been dealing with it for over ten years and using prescription creams. they would work but it always came back. two weeks of using my tincture and it was gone.
OMG! I have exzema too.. quite bad right now, and have been battling it for... wow, probably 25 years. I'm gonna have to look into this.....

Ware did your friend get the cbd? are you sure its cbd? most cannabis has very little cbd in it at all I think the highest reports ever were like 10%and the seeds cant be purchased. most are less than 8%
There have been Herijuana phenotypes that have tested as high as 11%, but they are also pretty high in THC. Sannie sells the seeds.

Go with vaping, get a real deep kush and keep the vape temperatures really low. After a few weeks of doing this for pain relief she won't get a "head high" ever again, unless she stops. I find her position irresponsible though, and I think anyone, even an arthritis sufferer, who considers opiates, is in a serious at-risk category. If they are shunning other treatments in favor of opiates, I would go as far as to suggest drug abuse counseling as a preventative measure. I'm completely serious about this.

i'm sorry to hear your mother is going through such terrible pain. I have a friend who also has rheumatoid arthritis. He has had multiple surgeries on his shoulders, hips, knees. At this point in his life he is highly addicted to opiates. He uses roxy-contin and oxy-contin and they have pretty much turned him into an addict. Your mom is probably old school and thinks getting high is trashy and not respectable. If possible (show) her and explain to her the effects of pills and how they will slowly get her addicted. If she's worried about getting high explain to here that pills are also a form of getting her high, extremely high and extremely addictive. Marijuana that is high in CBD is used for pain relief. Although I have never been in such pain I can only assume CBD will only go so far. The reason I bring up the CBD as have others is because marijuana strains high in CBD are low in THC. Obviously the THC is what gets you "high"If mom is worried about getting high I would def. try the CBD oils, tinchers, edibles. Harborside health Center in Oakland, Ca is very informative and could easily answer your questions in depth !

she decided to go with cymbalta for now (i know it is also a terrible drug) and if it doesn't work she is willing to try a high cbd strain in edibles or tincture. Lol i think everyone is getting hung up on the opiates. I know they destroy lives, I've seen it firsthand more than once. She had just mentioned it one day while in pain and hasn't said anything about it since.

Ya know, I've tried over a dozen different medications for migraines and shingles pain and the one with the least side effects has been oxycodone. Sad but true. Cannabis only flies when I don't have stuff to do, my work is technical and I can't be baked for it. The other medications like Neurontin for example have sent me into month long blackouts, or have side effects that make them better suited for convicted rapists. If they can use the opiates as prescribed they will be fine, and frankly I can understand the desire to use them right off the bat, especially if the pain is debilitating (who wants to wait months for relief when you feel like you can't handle another five minutes, while you try one crappy medication after another, burning through tons of money on scripts and copays). If they start smashing them up or doubling up on doses or running out early, it's time for concern (though with running out early/dose doubling it CAN be legitimate, for example if their dose is too low). But otherwise I think our society suffers from opiophobia, a fear of opiates, which results in a lot of people suffering through severe pain needlessly. How can you heal when you're in agony? Pain is stressful and stress takes a physical toll on the body.
