How to get NOT HIGH from Cannabis but Relieve Pain?

I have a mother with rheumatoid arthritis as well as residual pain from a near fatal car accident, diabetes, dysthymia and heart problems. Now she is not open to smoking or vaporizing or edibles. or the idea of being high in general. But she is also to the point where she has talked about going on opiates and I really hate for that to happen if there is an alternative. I picked up a topical oil from a dispensary for her to try awhile ago and she was worried she would smell like weed but was open to the idea at least. Does anyone have an idea of a method of ingestion that WILL NOT GET HER HIGH. emphasis on that lol. I was thinking some sort of alcohol tincture maybe she could put a bit in her coffee each morning but I am still worried it will get her high. Any ideas much appreciated!

She won't get high on weed but will do opiates? Your mom doesn't know the facts apparently. I suggest you inform her. I also recommend you try to find a really high CBD strain. Can't wait for the projectcbd guys to release their new mostly CBD strains, probably exactly what your mom is looking for IMO.

Oh trust me we have been arguing since i was just a wee lad about this. The reefer madness is just ingrained into her brain. She needs shoulder surgery and hip replacements and has already been recommended she start taking pain pills years ago and shes just kinda been toughing it out. Thanks all for the replies though.

Og is right,let her look at propaganda against pot,and then facts of opiates and pot,and study about CBD rich strains of pot...opiates are NOT the answer..thats why my sisters dead,but youre not gonna die from pot...facts dont lie,its just hard to forget whats been hammered in your head forever..pot is bad etc...but if shes against getting high,let her know opiates get you too high..hope this sheds light.

I had kinda won her over at one point as far as not believing weed was harmful, and then my sister supposedly became " addicted to marijuana" ( pills *cough) and we haven't seen her since really. Shes not one to reason with though. Just was wondering if there was a recipe for a strong topical that didn't smell, something along those lines.

Hash oil from a high CBD strain, add a few drops to your finger and rub it on your gums. It will taste like total ass but should help to ease any pain without sending the mind into a THC trip.

As said above- Some smart growers are focusing on high CBD/CBN strains for that very reason. You also might want to point out to your mom that the U.S. Government owns a patent on the very topic. Just check out US Patent 6630507 titled "Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants" which is assigned to The United States of America, as represented by the Department of Health and Human Services.

Your mom (and many others) were lied to all thier lives that 'Marijunana was bad for you' mmm..kay? Now the U.S. Government is trying to promote thier propganda war all whilst a license of this patent to a BIO-Pharma company. Opiates are among the worst things you can do to yourself- highly addicting and after awhile ineffective as you build up a tolerance to them. Tell her it's not 1961 anymore.

thanks for that info mac420 that is the perfect info to show her as shes probably read just about everything else. She is a very smart lady which is why I still have a hard time understanding how she doesn't quite get it. It will be a few months before I can get this made for her because I don't even have high cbd strains in my garden yet but will definitely do it. Any recommendations on specific strains?

As far as high CBN/CBD strains go, one (or more) of the R.I.U users here (Bricktop if I remember right) posted some very excellent material on this topic maybe a few weeks ago? Indeed, opiates absolutely destroy me. I get higher than a kite. I have also had friends die to them. Do not let your mother use them unless really necessary (sometimes they are!).

try papaver somniferum, the opium poppy. a tea with lemon and sugar; its bitter.

I bought a few grams of Cannatonic from the dispensary up here. It's list a little over 6% for THC & CBD. It tasted good and got me high as shit, but it wasn't for long and it was completely different buzz. I was hearing shit different and things looked different, it wasn't intense at all, it was soothing, but very trippy. I liked it, and I liked that it was completely different. I think it would be perfect to mix with Jack the Ripper and Vortex for some tincture and medibles.
